So says Reiss. Backups still to come.

Re: Seymour is Patriots only Pro Bowl Starter

Ouch. Manning, Palmer, and Rivers in the pro bowl over Tom. I have to take issue with Rivers over Tom, and I think Tom agrees with me.

Why would he agree with you? Brady has not been great this year. He's been good, steady, but not great. Rivers has been good also, but because Rivers is on the best team in the league, he gets the nod...I have no issue with that and I doubt Brady cares.

Thought McNair was going to get the love over Rivers, but I think Rivers is more deserving anyway. Even if he has been riding LT's coattails all season long. Brady is considered to be having a down year (which is still better than a lot of QB's up years) so he wasn't going to get in.

10 Chargers - I guess we have no chance if we play that stud laden team :D

rasheed mathis over samuel..hope it motivates him more this week against jax.

WOW!!
Warren and Assante didn't even get an honorable mention?

If Ty Warren is not in the Pro Bowl, then the Pro Bowl has lost all credibility. While I love Richard Seymour, and I would say he is a true leader on the Patriots defense and does deserve to go, I honestly think Ty Warren had a better year.

Brady has more yards and more TDs than Rivers. Plus I was just being tounge-in-cheek about Tom agreeing with me. Obviously I don't talk to him on the regular  . Also, has Rivers been anything but good/steady? This isn't the Heisman, I don't care what the Chargers record is.

Im shocked that Samuel is not a reserve. He leads the league in interceptions. Doesn't that mean something?

I didn't expect Warren to get a nod, although I certainly felt he was worthy, more worthy than Seymour. The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest that just lets everyone know who are the most publicized members of the National Football League. And that is a shame.

Pro bowl voting is a joke.
Gives me another reason not to watch it

patriots raiders and texans have same number pro bowlers..

I get the sarcasm.
Brady shouldn't go. End of story. He has not been sharp and maybe this will give him an edge.

He is no longer considered a top 3 QB. Yeah, maybe - MAYBE in the top 5. The Patriots staff did this to Brady and he did some of it himself. You can't expect him to be what he was with the offense he has, sorry, but it's true. This could have been the year that Brady showed everyone what he could do without his weapons, but it was just too much to ask. Look at what P. Manning has gone through adjusting to losing his two TE's - sure he looked great last night, but the 4 games prior he was off adjusting to his missing weapons.

this year set Brady back from being considered by most the BEST QB in the league to having Rivers beat him out of the Pro Bowl - he just seemed to let it get to him mentally and has not been very sharp or on top of his game. He has missed something all year! Very sad indeed - I am sure Brady doesn't care about the Probowl, but I bet BB uses this a motivation and by the end of the week he will have Brady PO'd about it!

Its funny when we go 14-2 we get 4 or 5. But when other teams do it they get 9 or 10.

I think the only time we have (had) "pro bowl" talent, is when they leave.

Talking head before a playoff game - The Patriots are ok but they just don't have enough talent to beat (insert team).

Talking head after the offseason moves - The Patriots will finish second in the AFC East. They simply lost too much talent with the departures of (insert names here).

Remind me again why the rest of the league effing hates us?

We did better in the fan voting.

There is NO way Seymour is more worthy of making the Pro Bowl over Assante or TY - IMO Seymour has had less productivity this year than normal and NO WAY has he played better than Assante or Ty on this team - It seems as if the Pro Bowl is a Popularity contest more than anything,It truly is a joke.

No backups
In a bit of a surprise, the Patriots had no backup players voted to the AFC Pro Bowl roster.

QB Tom Brady, CB Asante Samuel, DE Ty Warren and NT Vince Wilfork were thought to be among the players who had a solid chance for a Pro Bowl selection.

The AFC and NFC rosters can be found on NFL.com.

DT Richard Seymour was the only Patriots player selected to the Pro Bowl.

It's just not right. :(
