Plax is 34 that is old. How old is TB12?
Quarterbacks don't rely on athleticism like WRs do (especially Brady), not to mention that Brady hasn't spent the past two years in prison.
The jets were looking for a foot fetish apprentice....
Tate has been an awful kick returner. Rex just playing games or was looking for an O'Connell type informant.
I knew it I figured him and Merryberry were on the JETS radar
well guess what JESTER's???? EPIC FAIL!!!
Ellis says Hi
and
Danny Woodhead is still not good enough to be a JET
The team didn't want Ellis back, and Woodhead is a nice little story, there is a reason why the Pats went out and drafted two more RB's...
Jets claimed and got Mardy Gilyard, another player with nice upside, like Tate, who got caught up in numbers.
The Jets were never interested in Merriweather, which I suspected, not cerebral enough.

Not sure how Gilyard has much upside over Tate. The dude couldn't even hack it in a Josh McDaniels offense. An offensive system that has success with even scrub WR's.
woody is a Faulk type Back... Our two new RB's are primarily runners and lucky for us they have good hands as well
it'll be fun watching you try to attempt to cover us
edit- the reason we needed new RB's was b/c we had old dudes in those positions. The new youth will certainly be better than that scrub McKnight
we have to give Vereen time, but it will be a pleasure beating you in Gillette. I honestly do not want to sweep you in reg. season. When you face a team 3 times and win the 1st 2 it is very hard to get the 3rd W. Facing someone 3 times is tough enough. All sports fall ictim to the 3 rule. It is very difficult to win all of them

Yeah, the reason is that we had 3 RB's that rolled around in a wheelchair out there..Fred Taylor (hurt the entire yr), Sammy Morris, and Kevin Faulk (who was hurt all of last yr on IR)
That's the ONLY reason why 2 young sets of fresh legs were added. That and the fact that we had a serious luxury when it came to this draft. Most of the team was returning, and they had an unusually low number of free agents--not to even bring up the plethora of high rd draft picks.
Not so sure the Pats have "luxury" draft picks when they keep busting and wind up on the waiver wire...
I personally wasn't a big fan of the draft moves the Pats made this past year especially with the talent that was on the board at DL, LB, and reaching for players on the OL. I thought the Pats could have done a much better job, even moving up for a change in the draft for a blue-chip player they sorely lack.
With the additions of so many 34+ year olds and the releasing of so much of their younger talent, it seems like Belichick is back to his ways of forgoing younger talent for older veterans.
Love Woodhead though, great pick-up for the Pats, just not sure how long his shelf-life is, guys like that don't last long, their little bodies take a pounding in the league, Welker is going through that now, as a Jets fan, I saw it happen with Chrebet.
You're a Jets fan. Until Verne Gholston somehow becomes an NFL All-Pro, Jets fans are morally prohibited from talking smack about any other team's drafting.

Uh, yeah they did.Heh, Jets had no problem covering Woodhead or Faulk last year.
Jet fans crack me up. You traded for a 6th round pick the Packers were going to cut, and Jet fans are saying the OL is now set for yearsMcKnight has upside, a lot more than Woodhead has, explosive player who is very versatile as a receiver. He has maturity issues, improved by the end of last season, and had a solid pre-season, will be in the rotation at RB, if he grows up, he can be a very good player much in the mold like a Leon Washington.
