It's easy, and only takes a few moments. This is way OT (out there), but has an NFL team ever forfeited for refusing to take the field? With the way the Raiders are playing and talking, it wouldn't surprise me if some players stopped showing up for the last few weeks. What happens if they can't get 11 to put on the field?
Maybe they'll field the Oakland High School varsity team instead, give the Jets a challenge.Hey, dont they play the Jets on the final Sunday? We may need them to, at least, show up.
Interesting, was there a fine or anything from the NFL?I don't know about any other refusal in the NFL except for Buffalo refusing to come back onto the field for a PAT attempt after NE scored a game winning TD with no time left aided by a questionable PI call.

Actually I think they were fined...NOT sure how much..BUT that is the example that comes to mind..Not that I am aware of.
What about the time where the "field" at Philadelphia's Veteran Stadium was so bad that the team they were playing refused to play on it after warming up on it and seeing how terrible it was. I believe the game was cancelled.
Players are paid per game, so if they didn't play they wouldn't get their check. Now imagine what these checks are actully for, each check is 1/16th of thier salary. So if you make 2 million a year, Each game check is @$135,000, I don't know about you, but I don't care how much my team sucks, I'm going out on that field.

In the song "American Pie", the halftime marching band refused to leave the field. Can't document that game at NFL.com, however.
