I like this Surprise Prediction for the Jets

I 100% disagree about the Chiefs being better than the Jets, but I don't think there is a chance for the Jets to win the division and KC can easily end up with a better record and steal their playoff spot.

NE, NYJ
PIT, BAL
IND, HOU
SD, KC, OAK

Those teams should all be in the playoff hunt, first teams listed I believe will win the divisions, with everyone else competing for wildcards. I see a lot of competition in the AFC this year, and unless the Jets can repeat their 11-5 which has only happened a handful of times in their franchise history they will probably need some luck again.

I like this article............... However. I still think the Jets will be formidable this season....... Much as I don't wanna admit it.

He had me until he predicted the KC Chiefs would take the Jets' playoff spot. KC's got a good team but their head coach is nuts and cannot handle the pressure.

A couple of key injuries to the Jets and they are done....I don't see alot of depth on there roster....anything is possible....:D

KC doesn't have to be a better team, they just need a better record, unless the Jets win this division their fate isn't entirely in their hands.

I definitely can see the Jets missing the playoffs. They still have a nasty defense and Sanchez is a winner, but they don't have the depth to survive a major injury and I think they may suffer a few of them. They were pretty lucky health wise the last few seasons. That won't happen this year IMO.

I will go one step further and say that they could even finish 3rd in the division behind Miami. I think Miami is going to be much tougher than people think. They have a pretty good defense, good o-line and receivers. Plus I think Henne will surprise. People forget he is young, and was decent in 2009. He will be better this year.

The point is Todd Haley is a wing-nut and Rex Ryan knows how to coach. I thinks the Jets miss the playoffs this year for the reasons the article states but it won't be the Chiefs that get their wildcard. Let's face it. The Pats win the East and one of the wild cards goes to Baltimore or Pittsburgh. The other wild card will go to a team like the Colts if Manning comes back or the Texans who look like the real deal this year with Wade Philips as the defensive coordinator.

The Jets had to pull too many out of the hat last year, have regressed a bit, and will have a harder time backing into the playoffs again.

Hardly anything in that was radical. For instance Bradford coming into his own makes a lot of sense.

The Jets are built quite a lot like Parcells Jets team, compete fast, and then lose depth and quality in droves to the salary cap. They were made for a 3 year run, and this is the year the cracks show - but if the health is good they should be a WC team. KC isn't going to be any great shakes....

The author added a couple of edgy predictions to make is seem that they were revealing great truths... NEXT!

Yeah, I was going with the KC example because it was used in the article, it can really be anyone. The Jets had some miracles fall into their laps last year. Can't expect them to always win those games.

Take a look at the Chiefs schedule, especially late, and then predict they'll make the playoffs. Long shot.

The Jets are still an enigma to me. They are taking some big risks in key positions. They needed to improve their front seven and they are banking on a rookie DE from a weak conference without an offseason to improve it. Plaxico is showing why having two years off can be a detriment with multiple injuries.

The Jets are taking some risks that could pay off, but I can also see them with the potential of taking a step back.

Hey don't forget ....Sexy Rexy challenged the rest of the league....to beat the Pats ....

Take a look at the Chiefs roster and one realizes that they're a young team stacked with talent.

I really hope this article turns out to be true!!! I would love to see the look on Rex Ryan's face when they don't make the playoffs!

@ Pats, @ Colts, @ Bears, @ Jets, Steelers, Packers, plus SD twice.

Five of those are in a row. 8-8 at best.

As predictions go I thought those were pretty solid. I agree with him on most of them and also see the Jets and Colts watching the playoffs. I agree on McNabb but don't think Mathews will have a huge year because he's fragile. Don't know on Jones-Drew but don't get the logic on Gabbert being the best rookie QB if Jones-Drew is struggling. I agree on Bradford and the Rams and also on the Texans winning the division. Good predictions overall, I think the Jets are really going to disappoint their fans. Predicting a Lombardi is really stupid.

If the Jets didn't get their little get out of jail card free from the new CBA, they wouldn't even reach 500.

I'm not sure where you're getting the "Haley is a wing nut" thing, but he's done nothing to show that he's a coaching problem. He's shown quite the contrary, in fact.
