"Maybe we can trade a 3rd for him? I mean, what's to lose, right? He's guaranteed to be a pro-bowler after sitting behind tommy for a couple years learning his craft!"

I jest, but I remember so many posts like that. It's hilarious. This guy is just not an NFL QB and no amount of character or hard work or Jesus is going to do it for him. We don't have the roster spot or the draft pick to waste on a nice guy but hopeless football player. One poster even said he and urban meyer would come here after BB and Brady and win championship after championship.

If Denver cuts him, would McDaniels and St. Louis be interested in him?

I doubt it, McDaniels will have his hands full developing Bradford, no need for another project while the Rams have their young franchise QB in place.

What would we honestly do with him here in New England?

Fullback, TE, .... QB?

TE/FB hybrid, a rich man's version of what Garrett Mills was supposed to be.

To think Denver actually moved up into round 1 to draft Tebow. And that's why McDaniels got fired, for making a number of incompetent moves, this being one of them.

TB is already incredibly efficient on the goal line. This would not be an upgrade.

Never said he would be an upgrade, just that that is a role he could carve out for himself.

Buffalo should trade for Tebow. they're not gonna win many games anyway. they need something to root for

Would rather have Ryan Fitz. Tebow isn't an upgrade

Fitzpatrick is a far better QB!

I think Tebow can be a successful NFL quarterback, if you take a look at his numbers in the preseason. It is just a matter of having him on a team that is committed to running the ball first. No he can not make all the throws, but he can be very efficient if given the opportunity. I think he could do what Trent Dilfer did for the Ravens or what Brad Johnson did for the Bucs in their Superbowl winning seasons. It is just a matter of him getting to the right situation. There needs to be more focus on what he can do, not what he cannot.

That could be said for how many players in the NFL?

He's played in 3 regular season games and some pre-season games with 3rd string talent around him, Orton would look a lot less impressive without his 1st string supporting cast.

Anyway, I think it's a tad early to completely write off Tebow, though it seems that's what everyone wants to do, kicking him when he's down seems to be the thing to do right now. Terry Bradshaw, who eventually went to the HoF, was essentially a failure until he'd been in the league a few years.

I think Tebow's main issues are his mechanics, which can be corrected, and his ability to understand the pro game, which can be learned. Elite QBs like Brady and Manning couldnt read defenses as a rookie as they can now.

I think if Tebow links up with the QB Whisperer, and takes a ton of dance classes, and studies the game with a good coach he'll become a very good QB in time.

I wrote him off before he even took a snap in the NFL. His mechanics are poor, his accuracy is shocking and put into an environment where he's forced to make a throw-run decision, he'll always take the run.

He's below average now with the potential to become average.

Vick used to be the same way but he got his act together. Anyway, Steve Mariucci said the biggest flaw in scouting Brady was that no one looked at the size of his heart, if Tebow wants it bad enough he’ll find ways to fix his flaws.

Sign the beast .......... but for a player we don't need, not a pick. He is not a #1 QB ......... but heart may change that someday.

He'd make a good long term #2 QB who could play other positions. In that respect, he is both raw and perfect. Too bad he can't long snap as well.
