Bellicheck always loves experienced QB's, even if its to help him with his playbook.

*Just thought I'd get in first*

I mean.... Tebucky Jones came back with his tail between his legs and Jerome Wiggins is rumoured to be a target for Graham's venture into the over-paid FA Market.

why when we have 2 good QBs already and Vinny > Drew

Put the bottle down. You can't be serious....I thought I heard that he will retire if he can't start.:)

didn't realize we needed an official bledsoe return to pat thread.

ewwwwwww...

My guess is this is Dred-so's last year in the league.

Never happen in a million years or longer. Not a chance.

Bledsoe would only lose face coming back here. In fact, he's better off not even returning to the AFC. The only way Bledsoe would ever return here is if he decided to be a QB coach or an OC someday....a long way off right now.

Another fabulous, informative thread brought to you by OsloRhino.

Bledsoe can always hold a press conference and say the he taught Brady everything he knows ;)

Actually, another idiot who knows nothing about the Patriots posted this here a week or two ago.

Ron Borges would never allow Drew to come back.:D

There is a saying on several Marine Corps and cigar boards to which I belong that says read more, post less. I could never imagine a scenario that would bring Bledsoe back onto the Patriots roster.

Position coaches and coordinators work too hard and get paid too little. And they work here through most of the offseason with maybe a couple of weeks off here and there between the end of the season and the draft and between mini camp and TC. Too far from Montana.

Drew could never put the time into football unless it was tied to his ability to just sling it on Sunday. He's not a student of the game unless he's getting to play QB, and even then his attention span is pretty limited.

I don't think Drew will set foot here again until they induct him into the Patriots HOF, and I think Drew will make it clear to Bob that he'd prefer they forego that moment until Belichick and Brady have left for Canton. Had he achieved some success in Buffalo or Dallas that might not have been the case, but considering how his HOF career path careened out of control over the last 5 seasons there have to be residual hard feelings from a guy who never took responsibility for his own shortcomings.

What has transpired in Dallas since his benching by the legendary HC who drafted him should give even desperate GM's pause. I think he should retire. But Drew has seldom done what I thought he should do.

First Bledsoe along with Kraft and Parcells, put the Pats back on the boston sports map, Belichick and Brady took them to the next level.. Bledsoe again was great from 93- 98 . After that he felt he was better than the team.. Now I understand he got screwed in Buffalo, not given a chance to compete with Losman, but he lost the job here.. And in Dallas, he lost his job to Romo, where now Bledsoe is so far gone from the team, that if Romo ever got hurt, you would have to put a APB for him to come in to the game..

Bledsoe right now has one foot out the door to Montana and retirement after this yr..

I loved Drew Bledsoe ,but he was a flawed QB and time for him to hang it up, I dont want him with the Pats again...

Yeah and his nose and his balls would surly get bigger.

From Felger yesterday:

Interesting story last week in the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, which reported that the Cowboys brought in veteran quarterback Tommy Maddox for a workout because coach Bill Parcells is “concerned†about Drew Bledsoe and his preparation since being demoted in favor of Tony Romo two months ago.

In other words, the Cowboys fear Bledsoe has checked out since losing his job.

“I would hope that (Bledsoe) is diligent in his preparation because you’re probably going to need him to do something,†Parcells said. “I would hope he would be ready to do that if we needed him.â€

Self-entitled jerk won't even put in the effort unless he's a starter. Screw him.

Drew is really not a team first guy, people say he was a stand up guy during the Brady situation, but he is TO with out all the distractions..

I can think of several teams where he might end up... Minnesota, Oakland, (slight chance since Kitna brings vet leadership) Detroit

We know Oakland's front office is dumb/desperate enough, I figure he's most likely to play there... I think I've posted this before on another thread, though

I sure as hell don't want him back in New England. On the other hand, he seems to have the golden touch, maybe he'd turn Matt Cassel into the next Brady/Romo/Losman
