...This guy looks better and better for us every week.I do indeed think he is solidifying a Starting spot on that Defense..Nice Job Tully..

TBC and Asante Samuel will definitely be in the starting lineup

next year. (For The Jets).

I think TBC will be a Patriot next year, not so sure about Assante. Knowing our track record, I doubt he will be a Patriot. As far as TBC, I think he leads our team in sacks now. I remember watching him in college every week when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area (he played for Cal), I always thought he'd be a stud, I was shocked when he lasted until the 7th round. Nice late round pickup by the Pats, who are pretty good at that.

Why would TBC be playing for the Jets? Is he not signed beyond this season?

But yes, I do think Asante will probably be gone after this year:(

TBC is an unrestricted FA.

Samuel will be re-signed or Franchised so we can control where he goes.

Tully is really coming out this year...I think see is going to be with the pats for awhile...Asnte I could only hope, but I sure somebody is going to pay some fat money.....Maybe our only option is to tag him than trade:confused:

I see. Well I still don't think TBC is a hot enough commodity that other teams will dole out big bucks for him.

Was Willie Mc-Grandpa-innest a hot commodity before or after we cut him?

If you're a defense that runs the 3-4 - Cleveland, New York, Pittsburgh, Dallas, San Francisco, San Diego - you will be taking a look at whatever is coming out of New England. Teams looking to overspend for a rush end will similarily be interested in Tully Banta-Cain. In a week free agent class, TBC will probably get a serious once-over from half the teams in the NFL.

I don't think he'll be offered serious money elsewhere. I think NE should cut Colvin who is a 6M cap hit next year or something close to it. That will free up cap space to sign Samuel to a decent contract. And possibly Thomas of Baltimore or Bennett the WR from Tenn. Colvin is OK, but I don't think he's worth what he gets.

Colvin may be pricey and will need an extension or somesuch but this team is DESPERATE for quality LBs. We play the 3-4. I expect TBC and Colvin here next year. As for TBC, I like him at OLB but several times he MISSED tackles today that resulted in 10 yd running plays. Were this to happen vs a playoff team, we lose.
