Browns sign LT Thomas for 7 yrs, $84 million

Browns agreed to terms with LT Joe Thomas on a seven-year, $84 million extension with $44 million guaranteed.
The mammoth extension pays Thomas Larry Fitzgerald/Julius Peppers kind of money, busting the old high-water mark for offensive line guarantees. And he's worth every penny. Thomas has played four years in the NFL. He's made the Pro Bowl in each season, twice been a first-team All-Pro, never missed a start, and (our favorite Thomas fact): Never missed a practice. The Browns don't have many playmakers on offense, but they have the best left tackle in football protecting their QB-of-the-future hopeful, Colt McCoy.

It seems that the O-Line value of Contracts has been significantly enhanced by Mankins and Thomas. These 2 players imo will push up the contracts demanded by FA Linemen.

what are your thoughts on a G and a LT who's contracts are hugely responsible for the future escalation of Offensive Line deals demanded in FA'cy? this undoubtedly will have a HUGE effect on future deals.

Old news I know, but I want to hear responses to my honest and valid questions. :)

Mankins deal isn't looking too bad right about now.

Twitter posts are limited to 140 characters

So that isn't directly from twitter

You also are able to link directly to twitter, which is what you should have done.

Source, The Time Posted and the Day of week. That is as detailed as you can get.
You just love to jab @ me over something that was properly cited. It apparently evaded you as you immediately came to call me out on something you missed.

The commentary you copied and pasted did not come from Adam Schefter. Rather it referenced a tweet from Adam Schefter as the source of the contract information in it's commentary. I assume the site was some fantasy site. You need to link to whomever's commentary you are quoting. When you do not Ian can get in trouble with that site for using it's information without attribution.

I'm truly sorry that you have such incredible comprehension issues. Your post was not properly cited. That requires a link to the website you were copying and pasting it from, not their citing the original source of the information...

See, there you go. That is what Ian requires when you copy and paste (within limits) from a site. You were copying and pasting what Rotoworld reported. They were basing their report on what Schefter reported, but they expanded on it and that is what you posted.

Mo look v@ this 25 y/o making a Chicago format CITATION for you.

Schefter, Adam. Rotoworld & Twitter. Accessed August 23, 2011. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/210195/browns-sign-lt-thomas-for-7-yrs-$84-million.

(plz note this would NEVER be Bolded in its correct form. I just want ppl to see the Chicago format

Is this over the top or what? We should all cite in Chicago format for now on.

All jokes aside Mo. I'll try to incorporate the site more often. Long live Knightcite.com for making that Citation :)

I just figured citing the primary source was plenty despite the expanding explanation by roto (I didn't realiz we had to cite on the same parameters required in an essay. I will try to be more conscientious in the future

For your own sake as well as the rest of ours, grow up and get over yourself kiddo. Your supposedly a fan of a team that is all about accountability and responsibility. If Ian were Belichick you'd be atop the cut list. He cannot tolerate those who make excuses while making the same mistakes over and over and over...

Normally the solutions to this game of grab ass, is to ban both Mo and Solder from the thread. Perhaps they should put each other on ignore. Novle idea but that is why it is provided.

But seeing they are only ones posting on the thread the olde dump and move is the way to go.
