Before reading this article, know two things:

1. This is all pure speculation, of course

2. This is more for entertainment value than real information

Without further adieu . . .

It appears that this guy just won't go away . . . FOR REAL. One of the advantages (if only a few) of the lockout was that we didn't have to worry about hearing Brett's name mentioned. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was so sick and tired of this guy. I used to like him quite a bit until these past few offseasons. However, we knew it couldn't go a full offseason:

NFL.com news: Here we go: Colts ower Irsay tweets he's in Favre's hometown

Could this be?

i think this was already posted in the peyton manning thread.

i don't think BF would agree to come to the colts for a few weeks and then maybe be a backup to Patricia Manning

Oh, sorry about that. Mods, do your thing.

Ha. The Colts give new meaning to the phrase, "Rent-A-Wreck." PS - what is wrong with Irsay? He tweets more than Ochocinco.

Why reason could Favre possibly have for coming back now??

Talk about a picture-perfect end to a career: sticking with one team for 20 years, winning one young, and, just as the clock strikes MidNight, winning it all in his final season, in his final game, for one of the most storied franchises in History, beloved by millions, not only in Wisconsin, but around the world.

Why would he be anything but content??

~ It's not as if he tortured an entire region for 3 straight off seasons, holding an entire organization ~ and 52 teammates ~ HOSTAGE for 4-6 months each year, absolutely crippling their ability to make the best decisions to field a winning team, while he bored and irritated a groaning nation.

~ It's not like the organization FINALLY had the shocking temerity, going into the 3rd year of this grating, grinding nonsense, to ask the unspeakably self-absorbed Prima Donna to make his decision in a month or two ~ for ONCE ~ and then acted on that decision ~ Retirement ~ in Good Faith.

~ It's not as if he then changed his mind, and then went into a bitter, furious RAGE because the organization kept its word to Aaron Rodgers, who'd silently kept his pie hole shut for YEARS while Favre tortured him, the other 51 men, the entire organization, and a weary, weary nation.

~ It's not as if he then ~ in his bitter rage ~ deliberately manipulated first the Packers and then the Jets, in order to play for a bitter enemy of his old team ~ the Vikings ~ and attempt to directly compete against and avenge himself ~ ~ against the team and the millions of fans who'd paid his salary for almost 20 years, made him a Star, and made him rich beyond his wildest dreams...all because they did the honorable thing by Aaron Rodgers and their fans...and all after eating his crap and letting him hamstring, paralyze, and TORTURE them for 3 consecutive off seasons.

~ And it's not as if the story ended with SPECTACULAR poetic justice, as the team he scorned and tried SO desperately to do harm to...went all the way and won the Super Bowl under the new kid, a Super Bowl that Favre himself would've very likely led them to ~ assuming he had the benefit of their superior O Line!! ~ had he not been such a GALACTICLY self absorbed, back stabbing, and unspeakably dishonorable Prima Donna...

OH.

WAIT a moment.

That's EXACTLY what happened!!

***

Sorry for the rant, Gentlemen: Just had to get that one off my chest!! :D

Yes! Come back! Thank you based Favre.
