Report: Pats to bring in TJ Houshmandzadeh for workout

If Price is indeed injured he could be heading down the Chad Jackson trail quickly

What is it about wearing #17 that is the jinx here at WR?

Let's hope this is not the case and it's to make Tate work harder to keep his job here.

I see zero similarity between Chad Jackson and Price. Price is NFL caliber...Jackson was not...regardless of injury.

The guy has the worst ponytail in the history of sport...get him gone from Route 1 in Foxboro..... :D

Well that didn't take long. Is it just me, or does the time between an extremely minor setback and when people start proclaiming a guy a bust get shorter every year?

Not saying a bust but if this is an injury, the made of glass topic will come up quickly

Jackson couldn't stay healthy enough to stick around long...hope it's not the same with Taylor

If the 'made of glass' charge can be made, it's against Edelman.

So BB made a poor decision to move up in the draft that year for what HE thought was a top NFL WR prospect which might have been why we rarely see him doing that anymore in the draft....BB saw Jackson differently than you did perhaps.

Which speculation gains more traction first?

  • Houshmandzadeh signing means Tate will be cut

  • Houshmandzadeh signing means Pats are trading Welker

You forgot to list that a Houshmandzadeh signing clearly means Ochocinco will be cut. Also a fan favorite.

Okay....let's go with that.

id rather have Moss if we are looking for an old guy.

There isn't a receiver in the NFL who wouldn't be hurt after that hit. If he has a concussion, it's because of the laws of physics, not because he's "made of glass". There are plenty of WRs on the Pats roster with an injury history (Edelman, Tate, Welker, Branch). Price is one of the few that doesn't fall into that group.

Here is exclusive footage of the Patriots' war room discussing signing Houshmandzadeh.

In seriousness, I really doubt he will get signed. Probably just due dilligence.

i dont trust bb when it comes too evaluating young wr's.

I don't see why people would start giving Price a 'made of glass' label even if he is going to be out for a while; his being on the sidelines last year had nothing at all to do with an injury.

Of course, that minor detail won't prevent some fans from attaching that phrase to Price if he should happen to miss practice tomorrow.

Both. They already have too many WRs.

Tate and Eldeman are hurt, price probably just got knicked up...but i hope this does not mean that we could be in for a big trade or cut in the wr position like a welker or branch....

Sciz - no offense but Tarp in the avatar? Not impressed the other night, and, he can't make the club from the tub.

I would like to nominate a potential "Patriots bring in XYZ Player for workout." thread.

These are getting pretty redundant.

Out of the 240 wide receivers in training camp right now around the league, approximately, where do you think Price ranks? This is a sincere question - personally I never saw him play at Ohio nor do I put much stock in the limited action he got with Hoyer in week 17.

As a meme-lover from Iowa, I couldn't resist "It's a Tarp." And he played on both kick coverage and kick return on Thursday. That's how he'll make the team.
