He beat us in the playoffs. He generally plays well in big games. He's an up an coming star and one of the leaders on their team. It makes sense to me.

All right, time to KNOCK IT OFF! Either that, or come clean -- are you a New Jersey Green Beans fan?

I went to high school and college in NYC, but I'm a 100% Pats fan. That said, I can still respect other teams and players.

I sniff a toe..I mean a rat...a big ...green...rodentia

It just seems odd that you find it your obligation to step in and denounce anyone making fun of a rival team on a team message board, and then also proceed to overrate the guy being made fun of. Up and coming star? Name 10 worse starting QBs in the NFL.

scratch my last post...I meant big, huge, green CAPYBARA...

Umm.... Chad Henne and, um, er, uh.... gee.... let me think on that one.

On a more (or less) serious note, Sanchize and HOLMES are captains? Rex named his captains, does BB do the same? I thought for some reason the players chose their own captains here.

Rex must be on his knees every night hoping that Captain Statutory improves tremendously because he can't keep having success given his peripherals. To compare it to baseball, Sanchez reminded me last year of Dice-K a few years ago during his 18 win season. Looking at most of the numbers you would have expected him to have 20 losses instead of 18 wins.

That's how I feel watching Sanchez. He's been lucky and luck will only bring you so far.

It's how I feel. If you disagree with me, I'll respect that. I've been on this board since before the server was changed out and never been a fan of another team in my life.

I think the bigger story would have been a team NOT making a guy who is going into his third season as its starting QB a captain.

Sanchez is an average to slightly-above average QB on a team that has a lot of way-above average pieces in place, especially on D. He's either going to lead them to the Promised Land this year or next or they will start looking elsewhere.

That said, you can count me among those who say that we should do way less talking about Sanchez, Wrecks and the Jests until we beat them in a game that counts in the post season or until it's the Pats in the AFCCG two years in a row again.

Or perhaps hes just tired of this place becoming like that cesspool JetsInsider that's constantly full of anti Pats posts instead of meaningful football discussions. Id rather we just focus on sticking 53 collective sets of cleats up the Jets asses on gameday than multiple threads filled with ****ty photoshops.

Sanchez has a problem. That captain's logo goes right where he usually wears his President of the Justin Beber fan club pin.

Agreed. He might improve, but he's been pretty lucky so far if you believe in that sort of thing. You know, stuff like repeatable skill, small sample size, and regression.

Unfortunately one cannot deny the results, no matter how unlikely, or likely they are to recur again. I'll also throw in short-lived and Phyric as the obsessive Green seem to quickly forget. But hey that's sports, and we can't win them all. Last year was a heck of a ride for us. For the Jets and Mr Sanducci, at least I can take some solace in the fact that there might some rational basis to my feeling that his demise is inevitable. And when it does happen, like gasoline to a fire, add Rex + NYJ + Media, and I'm sure it'll be fun to watch. Also, for those of you who don't know, Sancheezzze led the league in interceptions dropped last year. Obscene number too - 13. His adjusted INTS jumped to 26! I mean talk about luck quantified. Anyway, good luck Sancheesy, you'll need it.

He wouldnt even make this team

I hate Sanchez but I'll give him some credit. He is a decent qb and is a clutch playorr performer so far. Although the jets would probably be far better off had they picked Josh Freeman. Love the pic though :p .

This is a great day for Patriots' fans across the world. He is not ready to be 'Broadway Joe' and Brian Schottenheimer will never trust him. I cannot wait until the Patriots handle Sanchez and the Jets this season. The pressure is definitely going to start getting to Sanchez this season. The Patriots have the matchups circle and will take care of business this season.
