Is it too soon for the media to start?

I'm down here in Florida and watched the game from the Jacksonville perspective. Tony Boselli said, late in the game that this was definitely not a case of running up the score. He just said that Bill Belichick was trying to get a look at all of his young players in game situations and that they were effective in those situations. They did keep intimating that they felt, probably because Del Rio said it, that this is a "playoff team", and this score meant nothing...the latter of which is true. I don't know about playoffs....playoffs? What you talkin' 'bout...playoffs? Playoffs? They're just trying to win a game.

Certainly not.

And I hope Del Rio's headset was working all game :D

I'm sure someone, somewhere, be it a well known media hack or just some young punk trying to get clicks for the web site he runs out his parent's basement, is going to relate last night's game to running up the score...

A quick internet search shows that as of right now there is indeed at least one obscure fantasy football site throwing out that line. I'm actually somewhat surprised I didn't find more, but the day is still young.

I think if we wanted to run up the score, we could have easily put up at least one, maybe two more touchdowns, but we decided to let Medlin run out the clock. Jags should consider themselves lucky.

Bah, heck with them. Personally I'm ready for another FU NFL Tour, just with a happy ending.

Why in goods green earth would people consider the 1st pre-season game for the Pats running up the score. Give me a break for those who think that. Get a life.

What might be the Jaguars responsibility in all of this???

We started pretty much all rookies and reserves on Offense, and they could not stop them.

Crappy coach, crappy players and an overall crappy team leads to crappy defense.

Ha, nobody even said it and we're already playing the victim card.

Not to worry, we'll get plenty of opportunities in the coming weeks. After all, we've become the team the rest of the sports world loves to diss.

We fans have to get in our pre-season work too, you know? :rocker:

What victim card? I think most people are more than ready for another GFY tour, albeit with a happier ending.

How do you get accused of running up the score when you take a knee for the last 2:00 of the game ?????

Pats could have tried to score on the 2 minute drill with Mallett if that were the case...

Sum peeple r stoopid :D

I see our very own Patfanken has had a rousing welcome - 2 invitations to kill himself within 40 mins of posting.

I thought those Jets fans would better handle a Patriots fan observing, in point by point fashion, everything that was great about last nights game :D

*Yawn* other teams always complain if the Patriots score more than 3 touchdowns in a game. Toughen up!
