Jadeveon Clowney -- WOW

Indeed Clowney is destroying those kids at the high school level. Looks like those OL are either allergic to blocking or he's just to big, fast, and strong for them to contain him. Probably a combination of both. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to dominate at the college level. If so, he'll probably be leaving either his sophmore or junior season to seek greener pastures and big money in the NFL. The only problem is that if Clowney continues to look this dominant he'll likely go as early as Von Miller did in the draft which was 2nd overall and probably no later than Dareus who went at #3 overall. IE he's likely gonna be out of reach.

He needs 3 years beyond High School, regardless.

And, again: Coach Bill has shown himself to be EXTREMELY proficient at acquiring 1st Rounders, in the last 5 years, that have a strong shot at Top 10.

In any case, you've cited an extreme example with Von Miller.

Many of those guys will go in the teens.

This is an extremely speculative discussion...and I LOVE IT!! :rocker:

I'll never fathom the thinking of people who take time out of their day...to make a snide-@$$ remark directed at people talking about an interesting FootBall subject.

...Nor do I ever wish to fathom such people.

Clearly, you've got your hands full monitoring your self.

So perhaps your snide advice would be better directed thither?

I guess you need somebody to explain to you that a DRAFT talk SubForum is about PROSPECTS.

Hope that helped you with your problem. ;)

You mad bro?

When it comes to the draft, except for QB, no position is as coveted as the DL; especially pass rushers.

I say let the kid play some college ball before we start ranting too much.

Agree he's young, agree we need to see him play college ball. But the point of this forum is to talk about prospects, draft strategies, and the draft in general.

Thought it would be a good idea to bring this kid up because of the hype and highlight tape. Always love looking towards the future at potential targets, and wanted to give my fellow Pats fans a heads up on a guy that seems like an immense talent.

Will be interesting to follow him as he develops throughout his college career. He has a long way to go and we will see what type of player he turns into, but if he turns into the player that I think he will, this is the type of player BB would trade up for.

I don't recall any defensive prospect coming into college with such an immense combination of size, speed, athleticism, and raw talent.

WTF is with the small letters???

I didn't type that shytte!!!

Great thread, Brother 79.

SCREW any flacidos who whine about your excitement and your passion for this Great Game.

Thanks, OTG. Love your input and passion for the game. Always a joy to converse with you about football.

He's an 18 year old kid, relax.

You mad bro?

I'm sorry, Bro.

You're a good guy.

It just strikes a raw NERVE with me.

The guy does some research and gets excited about a prospect ~ the very core SPIRIT of what this particular Forum is supposed to be ABOUT ~ and you attempt to demean him ~ and me ~ for him doing so, and for me joining in.

Even if your remark was tongue in cheek, it was demeaning, and therefore it was wrong: I don't presume to expect people to match my psychotic level of enthusiasm for FootBall, FootBall Prospects, and 1000 other things. Nor do I presume to demean them for not doing so: Different Strokes and All That.

All I ask is that they don't attempt to demean ME, in return.

I swear to The God Of Your Choice that none of the above is meant as a LECTURE, my friend!!

I just felt that you deserved an explanation for my anger...and there it is.

And with you, sir. :D

*AND with Brothers SB + Jones, my virulent defense of our right to get worked up about a Freshman not withstanding!! :rocker:

He looks very big compared to the other players. I'd like to see how he performs against linemen of size and note rather than dominating midgets.
