Just saw it re-tweeted by Mike Freeman of CBS. Hopefully, he'll bring down Peyton Manning, if it's true.

TO could flourish as a Colt ... they like that kind of YAC receiver.

Assuming his knee is right putting offensive talent around Manning is always a smart idea.

Probably more as a mentor to Mannings young group than a factor this year...Wayne has probably helped them as well.

T.O. Is as much a factor anymore as Moss was....little

TO to the Colts would be good for both of them. He isn't completely done, and will provide a physical, veteran presence. TO also gets to play with one of the top QBs in the league, on a team that throws a lot.

I'm not sure if you bothered to notice but TO's stat line in 2010 was 72 receptions 983 yards 9 touchdowns in 14 games.

...this. I'm not sure where you saw TO be a non factor, he had a very good season compared to Moss.

Don't hate on the guy. Anyone who reads other teams' forums knows that Jets and Fish fans were saying similar things about Ochocinco when we traded for him, despite his performance last year.

No one is signing TO any time soon. I doubt the Colts will.

This just posted over on Coltsfreaks...

HOLD UP ON THAT T.O. NEWS!!...my source is about to get a GIGANTIC swift kick to the balls!! #smdh sry tweeps!... #nfl #colts #FAmadness

Not sure who they are quoting as tweeting this...

I'm not sure why people have to hate on players for the sake of it. Despite whatever personal feelings someone has towards a player you have to recognize production.

Team Obliterator. Doubt this works for the Colts.

I meant don't hate on your fellow Pats fans. :)

It is pretty common for fans to claim that anyone their opponents signed is washed up, and anyone their own team signs still has plenty left in the tank.

No need to hammer someone just for being a homer now and then, unless they are completely irrational (as some are).

TO is all talk and no action...that being said. I sure hope he goes to the colts!

Frankly Manning is going to throw to TO or to someone else, and regardless of who compiles the stats, the results are going to be much different. Take plays away from Garcon or Gonzalez or Collie and get the same result, big deal, only hurts them in the long run.

I love to gulp the Kool Aid and spit it out intermittently ;). Nobody should be silly enough to discount anything or recognize "their own" for what they are. If we did, the world would be one great cult. :p

How does it hurt the Colts in the long term? Gonzalez and Collie are walking hospital beds and TO is a proven performer over time (and a physical specimen). If anything, it strengthens their receiving corps and just gives Peyton another weapon to compliment Wayne, Clark, Garcon, Tamme, Addai and so on. If their OL draft picks pan out, you can expect the Colts to put up a big score playing in shoot outs.

Oh I agree. One of the reasons I don't post here a lot is that it tends to have lots of extremists. This shouldn't be a surprise given that everyone here cares passionately about the team, so they have equal passion in their opinions.

But because of this, I actually enjoy Pats related debate more on Jets, Fish, and Bills forums, where while yes the other posters have an obvious bias, they are less likely to stake out extreme position, especially when talking about people other than Brady or BB.

Giving reps to an aging player who is there short term hurts you long term by keeping your young players off the field.
Whoever they plug in to their system, that is the best in the NFL by far at designing plays to get receivers open will get the ball. TO will just be the guy executing the play in place of someone else.

I've got a simple question for you. Which of the Colts receivers were better than Terrell Owens in 2010? You can choose from;

  1. Reggie Wayne,
  2. Pierre Garcon,
  3. Austin Collie,
  4. Anthony Gonzalez and
  5. Blair White.
