Nice find, thanks for sharing that.

Here's hoping that Vollmer stays around for a very long time, and remains a staple on the o-line of the future.

damn shut up guys. I dont want Vollmer on the Eagles when his contract is done #lulz

Dude's a beast.

Always liked that guy, unless its an LT all O-Line positions are underrated. I hope he'll stay with us for long time.

A lineman that you never hear from, is a lineman that is doing his job properly.

I thought he could have made the pro bowl last year. He mauled L. Woodley in Pittsburgh. Stoned Clay Matthews Jr a couple of times and Green Bay just stopped blitzing the POY.

If Solder turns out to be another star lineman and the Pats can get Mankins a long term deal, this line is going to be sick for a long time. With Dante's ability to coach guys up I have not doubt in my mind that TFB is going to be very well protected for the rest of his career...

Remember he completely shut down Robert Mathis. Matthis was the one always molesting Nick "can't block a marshmallow" Kazcur.

When I did the Colts video, I kept an eye out for Vollmer and I recall that he only got semi beat twice but by that time, the ball was out of Brady's hands.

Not bad for a guy who wasn't even invited to the combine.

We are going to have an awesome O-line ....quickly and for a long time.....Image all of those speed rushers having to run round two 6-8 behemoths ....courtesy of the coaching of Dante "Zen Master" Scarnecchia - Creating Bulldozers for 29 years.....:rocker:

It's becoming clear to me that the reason Vollmer wasn't invited to the combine was to keep the higher profile lineman from feeling pathetic by comparison.;)

I was so convinced Vollmer was a stud LT of the future that I was kind of shocked when the Patriots picked Solder. Hopefully, that speaks to how highly the team of thinks of our new boy Nate. Reminds me of USC's recent situation, where Tyron Smith, a stud in his own right, was playing RT since Matt Kalil was so darn good. It's a good problem to have.

I can't remember a time when the Patriots had so many budding stars....Gronk, McCourty, Mayo, Volmer. These guys are on their way to massive pay days down the road....all occupy premium positions.

Wasn't he a massive reach? A massive reach that was. Massive.

Not to buff my own ego, but I was the first on here to mention him as someone who would fit us well (I ain't using the word binky), but I had him penned in the 5th round or so. The fact he hadn't been invited to the Combine was a big factor in most people having him down as a late round pick.

What do we know?!?

The problem is keeping them and paying them what is fair.

Some analysts said it was a massive reach at the time.

Now they say he has a massive reach ;)
