once the jets dump him.......

i see that as a possibility...he absolutely kills us

If his back is fine,Then i would be fine with him

Let him go somewhere like St. Louis, Seattle or Tampa.. We don't need Cotchery.. Jets are fools to let him go...

the only reason I'd see us grab Cotchery is to get a hold of the Jets playbook and pump him for some info. otherwise please see the 'do we have too many wrs' thread. the initial premise of the thread - do we need to trade welker is unbelievably flawed. but the point that we do have a good number of receivers now is true. The only locks are Ocho, Welker, and Branch. Meanwhile price, tate, and edelman will be fighting for their roster lives. can cotchery give us anything better and actually make the roster?

Why?

Ochocinco, Welker & Branch are better and Price & Edelman show a lot of promise.

Jets let go of some of these guys that prick you on the thumb and make you bleed to death. Brad Smith and Cotchery are two guys I would be glad to not see in green.

This threads making me itch!

I think the Pats are all set at WR now. If we add any bodies, please let it be defense

We already missed out on Gholston.

Lets sign every ex Jet.

In before the merge into the mega thread.

I dont understand the obsession with a) Jets cuts b)starting a new thread everytime someone is cut somewhere.

To loosely quote apple "there's a <<thread>> for that"

Grab him- love to have a player like that especially with something to prove
and also knows the jets inside out- he has some good talent yet

If we had a need at WR, then we should definitely pounce on this guy. But since we're already talking about who's going to draw the short straw of our current WR's, I don't see this as being needed.

Wish there was room to bring him in, he'd be a strong addition

he would be on the PUP list for a while- could come of when needed to replace
an injured reciever

I'd swap Tate for him if he's healthy. As I mentioned in the other thread, BB likes players that he's had trouble stopping in the past, and Cotchery qualifies there.
