Eric Mangini hired by espn.

PFT: Mangini lands his next job at ESPN | CSNNE.com

From ProFootballTalk:

We can only hope that ESPN producers have some Mangenius vs. Hermanator segments on tap.

I recall him being on-camera for them last year during the playoffs. As much as he is hated here I thought he did a pretty good job for them as an analyst; a lot better than many of the other former players and coaches who have been doing that for a much longer time.

I see the thread title and the first thing I'm saying.

I can't wait to turn the TV off on him.

Can you imagine the nielsen ratings map when his face shows up and all of Massachusetts just goes dark?

Woody Johnson>Rodger Goodell>ESPN>Eric Mangini

Trickle down effect

Woody trickles and they all think it's April showers.

**** HIM! I hope he catches the crabs or some other non deadly disgusting disease. Rat bastard!

So ESPN hired the guy who was openly trying to give tips to the Jets on how to beat New England in the playoffs.

Boy, I am not even a little suprised.

Curse you and your misleading title!

I thought he was pretty good, ESPN hired H Douglas, how many guys are they gonna hire? Does this mean a reduced role for others?

I have not watched that station since oh, week 1 of 2007 at all save to watch a live game. This just gives me another reason not to watch them, visit their website, or read their magazine.

ESPN has recently begun to add some deeper dive guys. I think they're trying to add some content to counter their casual fan stuff. I thought Mangini was really quite good when they had him on and I hope he has success in his new job.

He's a better analyst than Herm Edwards, I'll give him that.

I haven't seen much of Tedy B this season hope he isn't being marginalized there.

There's an awful lot that I can let roll off my back, a lot of stuff that I can forgive and forget about.

However, in HIS case, I'll make an exception. That man stabbed this franchise, it's staff, players, coach, owner and fan base in the back.

He can rot away for all I care. He's already rotten on the inside, and his pairing with FESPN is the marriage made in h3ll that we knew was waiting to happen.

I have no use for him and, unless it's to watch a Patriots Game live, I've no reason to tune in to that network.

This made me LOL.

It's all part of Rex's plan inviting the league to beat the Pats. Now they can all get tips for their favorite Pats-hating network!!

I don't mean to be a ****, but that thread title gives the impression that the Patriots hired "Mangenius". You might want to clarify that ESPN hired him in the thread title.

Nah, I never thought for a moment that it was the Pats that hired him. I thought some other dumb NFL team might have given him a shot as a coordinator. I don't watch ESPN too much, so I am pleased I will see less of him this year than I did last year.
