For all the negative Patriot events that season, there were some incredible things.

Apart from the conclusion, I think it may be one of my favorite seasons (for the NFL period, obviously from a Patriot perspective 01, 03, and 04 are sure favorites) ever.

Drama, emotions, records. Vick, Everett's injury and walking again. Sean Taylor. Tom Brady to Randy Moss. 16-0.

Found this video again, what a year. Very well done "tribute" for those that haven't seen it.

edit: **** classy LT. Just want to throw that in there.

ESPN in the UK are showing the Ravens game from 07 right now :D

Got a feeling this year will be similar to 07, don't know why just got that feeling.

2007 sucked. It was like watching The Godfather and having the end be five minutes of Michael Corleone taking a dump while reading the funnies. It would have ruined the movie, the end of the 2007 season just killed what the year built for me.

2007 sucked? **** that. 2007 was incredible. Yes, we missed out on winning the SB in painful fashion, and I wanted nothing other than to forget about that game and the season for a couple months after the game.

Have some perspective, though. What went on in that season will never be repeated, from a Pats fan POV. Never had I woken up every Sunday morning of a season and knew we were going to come out victors. We crushed teams that year and Brady was playing the finest ball he will ever play. Also, finally having a receiver after all those years of scraping by with smurfs (not that I didn't love Troy, Deion, Patten, etc) was glorious. We got to witness two of the greatest players ever, at their respective positions, performing at the peak of their careers. We won a couple games in electrifying fashion, too. If we hadn't already won 3 other SBs, 42 would sting like a stillborn child. However, I look back on that season with glowing fond memories.

Gave me goosebumps and some tears. What an amazing year, but what a horrific finish for us Patriots fans.

Don't remind me!! That SB loss STILL hurts even after all this time :(

I dont wanna remember it.A superbowl would erase those memories though. Its how u come back from it.Its been 3 years now.

Brady to Moss in 2007 is something I'll never forget. It also announced the arrival of Brady to Welker. What a team, what a sad end to an amazing season.

Moss' 1 handed grab coming over the middle against Indianapolis is something that's permanently etched into my brain.

To me, the 2007 Patriots remain the greatest team in NFL history. They were completely dominant and would have won the Super Bowl if it weren't for a fluke play that happens once every 50 years.

Greatest Passing attack I'll give you... greatest offense, no... greatest defense no, greatest team.. no. They lucked into a couple of wins and that team could have been 13-3 as easy as 16-0. It was an outstanding team lead by one of the best QBs ever that could seemingly toss the ball up and score at will

They were the best ever dude, stop trying to be that guy.

That's like your opinion man...

Theres been teams with better running games, teams with better defenses. I'm not being that guy but that team was flawed and it showed in several games. Like when Rex Ryan bailed them out against the Ravens, as they got sliced up by AJ Feeley in the Eagles game or even the last game of the season could have gone either way. Great passing game, no question, undefeated no question.. best team ever is easily debatable.

Great teams play 60 mins and win in many different situations. They crushed most teams but also had to win in the last minute. They scored more points than anyone ever, Brady and Moss both broke records that were thought to be un breakable. They were a once in a life time team, they went 16-0 something that has never been done, and were a couple blown calls (in the grasp, holding, not blowing a whistle when a patriot recovers a fumbe) away from being 19-0. I love every patriot team, but this one was one we will never see again, not by any team. It was amazing to watch as a football fan.

2007 needed the 2010 WR's and TE's

They were also a blown defense co-ordinator call from being 15-1, been done twice before. And I wouldnt be shocked if another team did it, hell if the Colts didnt take the last couple games off they may have been able to do it a couple years ago (and they also would have lost in the super bowl)

As amazing as they were to watch I really couldn't consider them the best team ever, I'd say they had one of the beswt regular seasons ever and the best passing attack ever. But I'd have to pause before I'd grant them best ever.

we dont know if the colts would have, there is no way anyone could know for sure.

and the blown TO by Ryan is kind of a faded memory for me, but any number of things could have happened. What happened? Didnt they get stuffed on a run but it ended up being a Time out? All I know is you dont know what could have happened. The bottom line is they won games like that and they won games 5000 to 0, thats what makes a great team.

And the best team every year is the one hoisting the Lombardi. I have a tough time calling a team the best ever when they didnt win the Super Bowl.

I've said all along I think the 2001 Rams were a better team that the 2007 Patriots and I also think that SuperBowl was a bigger upset than the Patriots/Giants. Anyone paying attention saw a flawed defense that could be picked apart my almost any QB if the opposing teams defense didnt collapse and let the Patriots force them to be one dimensional

I know I sound weak, but 2007 is like remembering your ex after a painful breakup. You always remember/appreciate the blissful moments and how amazing it felt at its peak, but the #1 thing that comes to your mind is the brutal end.
