Faulk back??

MikeReiss Mike Reiss
The roster the Patriots issued to media members this morning includes RB Kevin Faulk. Likely means Faulk is back, but nothing official yet.

Re: Faulk back??

I am glad to see this news. Good for pushing entire offense. Competition for roster spots is going to be intense!

Re: Faulk back??

Rapoport saying same thing! Good to see him back if he is :D

I saw this 15 minutes ago. I am not a fan of him now, but he will be good to have @ camp especially for competition

I never post the stuff idc about;)

It will be nice having him in camp

BostonHerald.com - Blogs: Rap Sheet

On Day 3 of training camp, the Patriots offered another surprise, a clandestine reunion that was kept under wraps this morning
.
Veteran RB Kevin Faulk is back with the Patriots.

Faulk, who said he has no plans of retiring, will receive a shot to make the roster after all. After tearing his ACL last year, Faulk has rehabbed enough to take part in camp, though he’s not out here today. He’d previously noted he didn’t want to play for another team than the Pats.
We found out because his name is on the roster.

So it’s official. :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Re: Faulk back??

Great to give him a chance but ultimately I believe he'll be a camp casualty. If that happens and he retires I hope he gets a job on the coaching staff so he can still play a Crumpler type role for the kids this year. Having someone like him around could be huge.

No matter how many folks we have at RB, Faulk is money on 3rd down. I can't remember anyone as solid and dependable as him catching the ball out of the backfield, or having to make a 3rd down.

This may be his last year, but I still am going to be sad to see him go. He's like Ben Coates used to be for us.

So we now have 6 RBs on the roster? Hmmm. Either this means one of the rookies does't make it, BJGE might be traded, or one of Morris/Faulk won't make it. Things that make you go Hmmmmm.
Or, a WR is traded.

It's also good insurance in case one of the rookies gets hurt in TC or pre-season, and gets PUP'd.

He was nothing but class after getting hurt last year helping Woodhead fill his spot.

He deserves a shot at 1 more ring.

Even if he didn't make the roster at the start of the season, I suspect this is a good way for Coach to make sure he's fully back from his injury, to let him get up to speed with the team, then have him on speed dial if someone (actually WHEN someone) gets hurt.

Given that Faulk has stated he doesn't want to play with anyone else, It'd be right handy to have him available for recall during the season.

Don't forget Thomas Clayton! :D

Nice to see him back, but I wonder if he or Morris make the final roster. I give Faulk a better shot as long as he is willing to deal with the possibility of being deactivated on Sundays. I think Faulk could take a mentor/coach role for Vereen and Ridley like he was for Woodhead and BJGE last year while on IR.

It is July 30th and training camp. I would not be surprised if we had 6 RB's last year coming into camp. Prolly more like 5 b/c now we have 2 rookie RB's

Not sure what you're saying has anything to do with my post you quoted.

I think you mean IRed because you can only be PUPed if you start on the ACTIVE/PUP list in TC.. Once you start practicing, you can no longer be PUPed.
