So if Big Albert doesn't work out, then same DL as last year, without G Warren?

I'll hang up and take my answer off the air.

Yeah, but they'll all be a year older and more experienced, meaning Deaderick will be entering year 2 and Brace will be entering year 3. Brace especially sounds like he's come a long way over the past year.

LE: Brace
NT: Wilfork
RE: Haynesworth

I present to you, the Half-Ton D-Line!:D

And Wright is back from injury. What did we have 2 healthy DL in the playoff game?

Moore has a year in the system Love has a years experience. Different year different ine.

I also expect big improvements from Spikes, Cunningham and Fletcher.

All i will say is that Haynesworth better work out!!!:rolleyes:He wont have excuses because its different then washington. He wants to rush the passer. So go do it!!!!

Cullen Jenkins is also on the market. I don't think he's re-signing with them.

If the Patriots were able to mastermind the acquisition of Cullen Jenkins I'd seriously consider printing off a life-sized Bill Belichick poster, put it on the roof, turn up the Tom Jones and throw my underwear at the cardboard cut out screaming like a teenage girl.

They have money left.I want them to invest it on the DL as well.

Makes me hope we don't sign him...

As of this moment, yes.

But why the presumption that there will not be even just one more roster move between now and week one, or week 17 on the defensive line?

Free agency literally just started.

Hmmmm, I'd be a bit concerned in that he's missed 17 games in the last 3 years.

I'd want a discount.

Most acquisitions are contingent to both sides meeting at a deal that services the wants and needs of both. Given the Pats slash and burn nature this week with anyone who is failing conditioning tests or is injured, we'd have to wait and see.

At first i was not to happy with this trade for Albert. While im still a bit weary these comments that he said will make me change my mind quick.

""Coming here, I made a promise to myself that we don't think about the past, it's all new," Haynesworth said. "I'm just going to treat myself as a rookie, go out there and play ball and win games."

I don't know, but personally I hope he works out because I'm sick and tired of people calling him a "Turd" - and I know for a fact he has no Turdish blood.

As one of Turdsmanish descent, it's hurtful to hear people equate us with Haynesworth.
Really, the Turds never became accepted in this country because of their name. The Turds, or people from Turdsmania, were people of healthy stock. They were tall, with long straight hair; the men robust, the women bold and beautiful. The first Turds arrived on these shores in fifteen eighty-nine, one year after the defeat of the Spanish Armada. They were unjustly blamed for the defeat of the Spanish Fleet when a Spanish admiral remarked, "No wonder we lost, we had a bunch of turds managing our cannons!"

When finally in America, they also had trouble with lodgings. Most boarding houses had a sign on the front, "No Turds." The Turdsmen naturally interpreted it to mean, "No people from Turdsmania, please." They consequently felt rejected, as would any turd.

Even those who decided to return to Turdsmania had a rough time going back. Once on the bother, they would ask, "Where do the turds stay?" And a mate would innocently reply, "Why, in the can, sir," thinking it was some kind of Navy test. The Turdsmen would spend the rest of the voyage huddled in the men's room. Once back in the homeland, however, their lot became a happier one. Each man and woman could pass each other on the street and proudly say, "I'm a Turd!"

So hopefully things work out with Haynesworth and my people can finally put all of this behind us.

That's very assuring, I'm actually liking those comments.

I hope Bill can inspire him.

Look.....I think some people are missing what BB is after here. Haynesworth will be double-teamed - period!.....No matter if you think he's not motivated, you're not going to let this guy loose to kill your quarterback.

Secondly, Mangold at center can "somewhat" handle Vince at the nose, but our other 13 opponents are going to have a "b-tch" of a time trying to handle him straight-up.

With say Brace at LDE, what BB is accomplishing is making the offensive line "compress" to handle the interior D lineman. This is what Baltimore does with Ngata and Gregg; when you try to zone block these guys, Ngata just tosses them aside and zone blocking takes too long.

When you compress the OL, forcing the tight end inside to handle Haynesworth, you will open the gaps that BB is looking for.....both for the OlB and even better from Spikes or a hybrid, like Barrett or Chung. It's monumental, imo, to make the other team use 5 or 6 blockers to run their offense. This is what both the Ravens and the Jets did to us. It's not the blitz we should worry about, it's the team that uses up your blocking just to stay even with their defensive line......at least that's the way I see it.

Wouldn't that get you arrested in Australia? ;)
