No barking from the dog, no smog, and Kraft cooked the team with Haynesworth and Chad.

(Also, the lights of the good year blimp said Belichick's a PIMP)

Remember when everyone was up in arms after the draft?

yeah...that 14-2 team somehow won 14 games with no passrush...

Today, I didn't even have to use my AK....

July 28, 2011: One of the Greatest Days To Be a Patriots Fan

It ranks up there with hiring Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, having Mr. Kraft become owner, drafting John Hannah & Leon Gray, and, oh yeah, some skinny kid out of the Michigan Stinkbears.

This team on paper--which granted has never ever won a game in football history--is by far the best Patriots team ever assembled. No disrespect to the teams of yesteryear. To Ted Washington, Willie, Teddy, Andre Tippett, Don Blackman, Russ Francis, Tim Fox, Stanley Morgan, Steve Grogan, Clayton Weisuhn, Sugar Bear Hamilton, Julius Adams, Don Cryder, Steve Morgan, the late Mosi Tatupu, hell, even J.R. Redmond.

We should all celebrate with our wives, girlfriends, pet iguana, or whatever. Buy the champagne and chill it for further use.

It's dangerous, cuz our expectations are so high. Will anyone be satisfied with anything less than the Super Bowl? Of course not.

Is there a cindarella team like the 2001 Patriots this year? Time will tell.

But this day is the greatest single day free acquisition bagging in history. Opposing coaches won't get much sleep. They will struggle against incontinence. They will mumble profanities in their sleep. Their wives will get no play. Their children will be ignored.

Albert Haynesworth will push offensive linemen ontop of their QBs. Chad Johnson will be turned into Jerry Rice with our QB. Special Forces will desire to wear Patriots caps as they travel the tundra. Tom Jackson of ESPN will put a Patriots bumper sticker on his Lexus.

We added have two supremely gifted athletes at positions of need--among the very best in their category--in the last few years of their playing careers...who want to be here. Who desperately want a ring.

Tom Brady can pick up a crystal meth habit and we can win the SB. Brian Hoyer at QB? No problem, we can win it all. I'm scared because what comes after hubris?

The fall.

But sit back and enjoy it, cuz it's going to be one wild ride. And I think the Jets won't be able to stop us. Or anyone else.

Slow down there buddy....

Hope you didn't have to use your AK

And BB's Jimmy runs deep. SO DEEP. SO DEEP

(not talking from experience though)

Today was a good day but it could be better. IMO a good day is where the Patriots finally win another super bowl...

Brady has to loosen up in the playoffs- really this team needs to make a run soon or its going to be a long dry spell

Did I mention it is my Anniversary?

Thanks for the 2 presents, BB. We appreciate the gifts! <3

Wow.
I guess I would point to some wins in February over wins in July.

And I'll take the 2004 Patriots team right now as well.

But I'm optimistic as well.

Oh, and not so great a day if you are Brandon Deaderick (only room for one DT reading newspapers during team meetings). Or Matt Slater (previously the last rung of the 'WR' ladder).

Burress didn't even have to use his AK, today was a good day.

This whole day has been a "semi",for this 60yr old pats fan:wha:

Actually, in this case, I'd say that after hubris comes Nirvana.

The best case scenario a wet dream. Not since the Moss trade has it felt like this to be a Pats fan.

I expect both moves work out. I don't think we're looking at pro bowl players, but I see both the offense and the defense being much better in 2011...especially the defense.

Just thinking about Haynesworth and Wright rushing on the inside on 3rd down...

Another good thing about today, Nnamdi Asomugha continues to leave the Jets waiting and putting their offseason on hold while he decides.

From Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News:

One #Jets source tells me this about Nnamdi Asomugha talks: "We're trying to get an answer out of him, one way or another." #nyj

Twitter

How great would it be for them to wait on Asomugha while Cromartie, Edwards, Jonathan Joseph, Malcom Floyd, etc. all sign elsewhere and then Asomugha decides to sign with the Texans? Jets fans were talking about the best backfield since Lester Hayes and Michael Haynes. Tomorrow they might be desperate to resign Cromartie.

According to Mehta's blog they might have a "nice" consolation prize at CB in Chris Carr.
