Chad Henne's not a very good QB. If the Dolphins do acquire Kyle Orton then Orton to Marshall is re-kindled. That's more problematic than anything that Reggie Bush presents.

You don't move on a RB you drafted with the 2nd overall pick if you think he's going to make meaningful contributions to your ball club (like the Saints just have).

Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are better backs than Reggie Bush. He's a gimmick back and special teams returner.

Bush is worth much more to New Orleans that any other team, and the ONLY reason they are attempting to trade him is because of his 12 million dollar cap hit.

They'd have been more than happy to keep him there with a restructuring.

Orton and now Bush to the Dolphins, Holmes and some other in-house resignings by the NYJ + the frontrunner in the Asomaugh sweepstakes, and both of those teams have done a lot better so far in the off-season that anyone here predicted.

All we heard all off-season was about the apparent "cap hell" that the NYJ were in, and now all of these reports surface that they were actually in better cap position than the NEP were.

(Not that I mean to be jumping the gun in regards to the off-season SB winner etc, as we've all learned that means nothing..but it isn't fun watching our immediate competition get stronger either)

I should probably give you my starting position so you can get a clearer understanding of my position; I've never rated Reggie Bush and never will.

If you can't get it done in a fantastic side like New Orleans with a top 5 QB in a pass first offense then you're a crab.

I understand Aus, as I too think Bush is extremely overrated, but I do think that he would've stayed as he had some sort of role on the N.Orleans team. I do not believe that they cut/trade him if not for his insanely huge cap hit of 11.8 million. That is what forced them. He could've had a 1,000 yd rushing yr, and they'd still have been in the same position.

I would say that there seems to be a lack of intensity or 'serious' effort on plays that are not designed for him. He is not the kind of guy who is as concerned about blitz pickups as much as a team would like. I would certainly rate Faulk one of the better blockers/blitz pickup guys around, and Woodhead may not have the size needed, but at least you know that he is always going to give you his all on every play.

Bush is best in the open field, and does have talent in certain areas. He can catch out of the backfield pretty well, when targeted, and is more of a '3rd down' kind of RB, rather than an every down workhorse. It will be interesting to see how MIA uses him, as I'd imagine that he'll be at the top of their depth chart. He obviously still has a lot of talent on returns too, per the 'open field' comment.

I think he's overrated on many levels, due to his draft position/selection, and his insanely high salary. That said, I also think that he does have something to offer talent-wise, when used in the right role. Had he gone in the 3rd rd, people wouldn't have as much of a problem with him (as we often said with Maroney, LOL), but since he was chosen high and came with a ton of hype etc, most see him as a waste of cap space for a limited role. I would not be surprised to see him do somewhat better in a bit of a different role.

Sounds sexy, but have the Dolphins improved their running game all that much.

Bush is faster. Are u seriously trying to say woodhead is better than bush? Bush was a huge part of new orlean's superbowl team, an absolute match-up nightmare. So you cannot make the superbowl argument for faulk. Woodhead and faulk are not in bush's league. He also returns kicks better than both guys. Damn it, i hate homers.

If you actually read the question; it says 'how would you compare?' not 'Faulk and Woodhead are far better!

Also; Reggie Bush stats in 2009 season (The Superbowl Season)

70 rushes for 380 yards - 5.6 yard avg - 5 TDs
47 receptions for 335 yards - 7.1 yard avg - 3 TDs

And Woodhead's stats for last season:

97 rushes for 547 yards - 5.6 yard avg - 5 TDs
34 receptions for 379 yards - 11.1 yard avg - 1 TD


So Bush, who is a matchup nightmare, and Woodhead, who is only good because homers say so have really similar stats!

And both Bush and Woody played in 14 games, and Woody joined the team during the season, and had to learn the playbook!

Yeah, homers suck!
