No Faulk at Camp Tomorrow

lmao

He would be a nice PS guy I don't see a waiver claim w/ that age and injury (99.9%chance of) NOT happening.
Awesome PAT in his time. The Future is now! He will only crack this team as a coach or a cheap band-aid. Woodhead is the Future and that is that:singing:

Wow, you're clueless or high dude. His production hasn't dropped off..he was hurt... and the guy is money on 3rd downs...

Yeah, get rid of him...Morris will be on IR by week 3. If anything, he should have been dropped.

BTW, Woodhead instilled great confidence with his blitz pickups in the playoffs (not). Dude, I want a guy who I can depend on to keep my QB upright. Did you miss his blocking performance in the post-season?

I like Woodhead but there's no way that he's proven he can replace what
Kevin does...

Maybe Sammy is short for Sandwich? He could be hungry.

Sammy's a nice guy but he's barely seen the field the last couple of years.

Woodhead was a great pickup but he's still got a lot to learn and we'll see if he can reproduce what he did last year.

I don't see how you can count Kevin out... unless there's a post-injury drop-off, I want to see him back.

I don't think any Patriot Fan who has followed this team for at least the past decade knows this, (hell maybe even the past 5 years) you can't count Kevin out yet. Especially with the guys on the roster as of right now at the RB pos.

Faulk will be back for another season, he has been a great player for them and no player is better suited to bring the rookie RB's along. One more year and then on to the Patriots Hall Of Fame for him. What a pleasure he has been to watch throughout his career.

The only way I can legitimately see Faulk making the team is if we go with 5 RBs, but one of the rookies is inactive every week, leaving only Faulk and Woodhead as our little guys.

The alternative would be a running game with even more draws, flips, swings, and middle screens than we use already.

I should note that I am actually not entirely against that option. We know we have the backs and QB. But the question is whether that would be as good an option as say signing a Ronnie Brown for a 2-3 year deal and letting him hammer until his legs fall off (which they likely would).

Do you pro-Faulk guys really think he will really be effective so soon after such a devastating knee injury? A running back, you know, a guys who uses his legs, which are attached to his knee. These are the top 1% athletes, even small drop-off of say 5% makes him less than a NFL JAG. With non-stop rehab, next year, maybe. But then we have age to worry about doing the same thing.

Sure, I say let him compete. But I say No chance to him making the 2011 roster even-money all day long.

wes welkers knee says hi ;)

as someone already said, sign him, pup him. By week 6 we'll be happy he's still there.

If he gets signed and attends camp he makes the roster.

I've a friendly 10 dollars that says that.

Maybe he's holding out!

I can't really tell if that was sarcasm or not; if it was, forgive me. But if it wasnt, I'm curious how exactly does a free agent who is not under contract to any NFL team be termed as "holding out"?

:confused2:

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it was definitely sarcasm/a joke.

I actually would have preferred Faulk over Morris. Faulk is not nearly as injury prone. But Morris is a N-S in between the tackles runner. With 4 young RBs in BJGE, Woodhead, Vereen, and Ridley there was really only room for 1 vet. I think Morris is it unfortunately. Really loved Faulk in a Pats uni, he was always a classy player who contributed to the team in any way he could.

Note: If Faulks not in camp at all that probably means he's not healthy yet. So maybe he'll be on the 'shadow roster' waiting for a phone call when he does get healthy and inevitably one of our RBs, I'm betting Morris, gets hurt.

I'm pretty sure you're right, but ever since so many fans genuinely thought the Patriots should start Michael Bishop as their quarterback I often have trouble distinguishing honest opinions from jokes.
