Per Karen Guregian on Twitter:

"I'm hearing we probably won't see Kevin Faulk at camp tomorrow. That could change, but nothing imminent at the moment"

I'm trying to remember the rules; can he even go to camp if he wanted to, since he is a free agent? I would think veteran free agents can't go until Friday, since that would be the first day they can sign contracts.

Or was there some exclusion because of the uniqueness of the lockout and all the different things that happen this week?

Maybe he's holding out!

We don't need him. No he isn't worth the millions ppl say he is "TEACH" VET ETC.

I much rather have Sammy.

Faulks time is done... perhaps he would like to be a positions coach for the PATS? Why should there be a Kevin Faulk @ camp? curious?

Sign him to a veteran's contract, and let him fight for a spot.. nothing should be taken for granted.

lmao

He would be a nice PS guy I don't see a waiver claim w/ that age and injury (99.9%chance of) NOT happening.
Awesome PAT in his time. The Future is now! He will only crack this team as a coach or a cheap band-aid. Woodhead is the Future and that is that:singing:

Woody and Vereen make the Faulk happening near the temp of (absolute zero).

I don't know bud. Nobody protects Brady from the RB position better that Faulk. He could pickup a blitzing roadrunner. (Dillon was pretty good too) Brady dons a whole new set of young balls when Faulk is in there. He's been counted out before, but he always comes into camp in shape and wins a spot. Don't count him out yet.

No Kevin today???

Get the Faulk out of here!

Sorry but someone had to say it

I really hope they sign him for at least another 2 years. He would be a great mentor to the rookies on the team.

But we definitely signed Sammy Morris right ?

Enough about the Pats! What does this development mean for the Jets?

I RESPECT and LOVE what faulk did in his years of service as a Patriot I really do, however age, injury and better bodies have fallen into the equation. Faulk is not the same specimen we have enjoyed watching in the past. I do not believe he is in our future. Too many like positions is bad. Sammy Vereen woody other new guy is 4 RB already.

No way do we carry 5 RB's and BHTW 3 of which are similar in style and in play.

I know you like ALL rookies, but Ridley and Vereen will have to win their roster spots. Just being young isn't enough.

Unless cap space is an issue, sign him and PUP him and he can continue to rehab in the best place for it and mentor the youngsters in film study and blocking and be ready after the bye when Sammy gets hurt... .

lmao

He is not ps eligible...nor has he been for near a decade.

The one thing Faulk has that the rookies don't have, or most of the vets for that matter, is his leadership (korny, I know). I don't know if you guys remember this game back in 2009, but everyone on the team was just not trying. It was kind of embarrassing. It's the only time I've seen it with a Patriots team, nevermind under BB's tenure. But then there was Kevin Faulk, in one of the team's low points, berating his teammates to step up and start playing ball. They showed the footage of Faulk on the sideline only a little bit during the game, but it struck a cord with me in how important certain players can be. There was no Bruschi, no Harrison, nor Vrabel like in those superbowl years, but their leadership lived through Faulk. Vereen and Ridley won't have those qualities.

Does Faulk have a place on the team? I can't find one in drafting a 53-man roster, but cutting him is a lot easier done on paper than in practice.
