That's what I'm getting from Glazer and Breer's tweets. 10 teams will start Wednesday, 15 days before their 1st game. Since Pats 1st game is on a Thurs., I assume they are one of them (assuming this is done today).

Pats hit camp July 28 that this Thursday pending !

Will there be a training camp open to the public?

Not sure if i see it ,I will post it

Per Stacy James the team still doesn't know when it will be allowed to start TC.

Schefter's latest report per PFT would seem to contradict some of the other timeline predictions. It says all TC's would open on August 2 and the teams would be allowed to "report" in groups of ten teams per day with the last 2 reporting on Sunday. Teams could begin talking later today or tomorrow to their FA or all FA but no deal is final until Saturday.

Latest timeline confirms that free agency could start Tuesday | ProFootballTalk

Seen this thrown around twitter!

Jets and Texans will be the last to start on Sunday!

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but from what I can see this is all still speculation at this point. From what I've been able to see the player reps are still reviewing the proposal, and then after they are done doing that then they will vote.

Until that vote is made nothing and the CBA is ratified nothing is certain.

FWIW, I'm seeing quite a few tweets saying we'll start TC on Wednesday.

I think the term TC is being used interchangeably with reporting dates for teams. I think teams will be limited as to what they can actually do with players for the first couple of days after reporting. Just like they will be limited to talking and not signing contracts with UFA until the league year starts. It seems that will be on the day the deal actually gets ratified by a recertified union.

Today at 6PM official FA list will be released. Tuesday open for voluntary training and classroom work. Training period starts on Wednesday 10AM and teams can begin signing drafted and UDFA rookies. Can start talking to UFA but cannot sign them until Friday...per Jason La Canfora. Thursday 4PM waiver wire begins. TC can begin opening Friday. Official league year begins NO LATER THAN August 4th.

So no 2 a days and limited pads practice.

theres nothing in the agreement about pipe handles and whips.

"You've been bad players"

FWIW the NFLN is now saying all 32 camps will open Friday.

Origami classes start Wed while Ukrainian Egg decorating starts Thursday....

Rock,Paper,Scissors will not be tolerated.....

I'm a little concerned that that isn't enough time to get into playing shape. I guess they can have rookies playing for most of the game and just hope hoyer doesn't get smashed.

Pats first game on Aug 11th sure means alot of the new players BB wants to evaluate will be lost......

Stick Mallett at QB until game 3 :D

I have seen many people with the same sentiment, but I'm curious as to the reason why so many people think that way? Training camp is going to start on the same date it was scheduled to do so before the lockout; no TC practices will be missed. Last year training camps opened around July 28 - August 1; same deal this year. So why is there not enough time to get into playing shape if the training camp dates are the same? If players have not been working out this last month that's on them; that could have happened regardless of whether or not there was a lockout.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I see two reasons for concern when it comes to the players being in shape:

1) Given that there were no OTA's and Mini-Camps I think this affects them in terms of "football" shape. Even with the traditional 5-6 weeks between Mini-Camp and TC players were at least having walk through and shell practices during OTA's and Mini-Camp that helped with "football" shape. This to me is the least of the two concerns that I have, as the players should be able to get into football shape fairly quickly provided they come into camp in decent shape.

2) Without access to the team facilities and an organized offseason workout plan I think it is safe to assume that many players will show up in less than top condition. And that will be the challenge the coaches will face, it may take half a camp just to get some of the big boys down to their playing weight.

That is just my .002 and how I interpret the "not enough time to play the 1st preseason game" concern that I have read.

Dunno about the playing weight thingy. That's why Chuck Norris invented warming to sweat the pounds off the linepersons quickly.

Pre Season games are gonna be awesome this year with Hoyer and Mallet

The sad thing is, not only would teams kill for our second QB, but our 3rd QB as well haha
