we may make the playoffs thanks to the Jets finally wetting the bed, but its not going to be pretty.. I think we could beat Jax and Cincy, but if we play Baltimore, well what you saw against Miami is what you saw today.. And San Diego, even though its Marty Schotenheimer, LT will pretty much smoke us.. Bottom line we are good enough to win the division, but if it was not for Miami making a poor choice at QB early this yr, we might as well talk draft now..

Didn't everyone say the same things in 2001 and 2003 let me say it again since it has been said a lot already

WE ARE GOING TO BE FINE I think this board if going to be halarious when all of a sudden we make a huge run and end up going to the SB all the chicken little will be saying how they knew it was going to happen the whole time

Yes...the Patriots ARE a playoff team....I think again it is too early to see ecavtly what this team is about...IF they play like today or last week, it's ONE and DONE..I don't think there is a doubt there..but if those are more the the ones away from th enoem, this team could win one or two or so. There HAS to be conern with what is goimh on though...but hardly a done deal.

If LT doesn't manage to smoke us,Rivers to Gates passes will..Hobbs or Scott covering Gates? PLEASE!!!- The thought of that alone can make a patriots male fan impotent.

I am positive that rivers will not figure out a good BB scheme he jsut doesn't ahve the experence he is going to be great and i mean Brady Manning great in a couple years. He's not there yet because of the weapons he as around him

Can you really feel safe that this is a super bowl team , playing at a high level?? Well except for San Diego , I dont think anyone is playing at that level right now.. So no we are not , and we could get hot at the right time, but I dont have that much confidence in the offense right now against a SD or a Baltimore..

Our secondary was better in both 2001 and 2003 IMO - Hobbs is guilty of major penalties at least 1 or 2 times every few games whether its a credible call or not - He is not looking like he will be here for a long time unless he matures in the next year and quickly, last year we saw signs of a young TY Law from him - I don't see that now,I see a DB constantly getting beaten and must resort to penalties to stop his WR he covers who is getting passed him and wide open or fakes him out.

To say he is not much better in the secondary than Duane Starks was, does not seem so ridiculous anymore, its getting closer every game - Thank god our Defensive Line can play with the best of teams, can't say that about the secondary at this point,If it was not for 2 GUYS - Asante and Rodney (when healthy) - you could give a case for our secondary being one of the worst in the league.

You just made my point for me no one is right now and even SD is a ? because there coach tends to choke in big games. There have been flashes of it all season and while I am worried that it hasn't all clicked yet the Steelers last year and the Pats from other years proves all it takes is a few good games in a row to take the Lombradi trophy

Just felt we need a bye to reach the super bowl.. And that has no chance of happening now..

Regardless of what Marty has done in the past..If we had Ladanian and Gates on this team I would be feeling pretty good about our chances this year - San Diego IS the best team right now - Will they be when its all said and done? Who knows?

A game of unexpected Turnovers can do major damage to a good team like the Chargers, but I think if SD limits turnovers they are going to be extremely hard to beat, they downright have better AFC players overall as a unit and if you don't count intangibles that happen in a game they are the team to beat Period! - regardless of what Marty has done in the past - At least he does not have Peyton at QB:D - And lets face it,If our guys don't make it to the SB what better nice guy than Marty to grab a ring - He deserves it for all of his dedication and years put forth - Time will tell.

No offense, but we're 13 games into the season. If we don't know what this team is all about by now, we will never know. And the fact that we don't know, and it's week 13 soon to be 14, is a bit of an issue.

Where'd you put the popcorn? I'll put two kernals on Stan. :D

To answer the original question, this does not look like a playoff team, at not until they clinch. ;) If you were to ask me if they played like a club capable of cleaning up in the Playoffs and Superbowl, I'd have to say, not at the moment, each day is another opportunity to get back an injured starter, we'll just have to be patient.

With that logic, each day is another opportunity to lose another starter to injury. It's week 14 now, we just placed two more players on the IR this week. At this rate all of our WRs would have to play DBs too.

The Pats will probably make the playoffs due to the fact the Bills

just did us a favor. Don't expect them to win any of their last

three games without a struggle. Will we win a game in the playoffs?

Probably not if the Pats continue to make turnovers. There appears to

be no easy answer to that problem. With regard to the team in general,

the sad fact is that the 2006 team is worse than the 2005 team which

was nowhere near as good as our last two Superbowl teams. The

Pats future is not good if the talent drain during free agency continues.

We aren't a Play-off team
