What is A-rods potential? IMHO, i think when it is all said and done, the kid can be one of the greats. Insane athleticism, accuracy that matches the best, great throwing arm... the kid has it all.

The way he dominated the postseason was stuff of legends. If A-rod can remain healthy, and since the packers have youth on their side and a talented squad, i can see the packers and rodgers being contenders for 4-5 years. Thus, giving rodgers plenty of time to write his own legacy

He has HoF potential, no doubt, I think it comes down to his protection: concussions are no good and he's already had a bad one. If they can keep defenders off of him he can tear up the league.

One more thing about Rodgers, he's very smart, he went on record saying that 'TFB is hands down the best QB in the NFL'. A guy that is that smart and humble is the guy I fear, certainly not a guy like Cam Newton, who probably thinks little of Brady.

Ironically, the last time the Pats played at Lambeau (final score, Pats 35, Pack 0), the Pats managed to knock both Favre and Rodgers out of the game. As it turned out, though, Lord Vicodin was back the next week, while Rodgers ended up on IR.

FYPFY. I think it's more accurate now. :)

I'd agree with you if we were talking about JaMarcus Russell, I believe Newton thinks quite a bit, not necessarily high level Newtonian physics but I bet he spends a lot of time thinking about himself and attaining that icon status he mentioned. I see him wanting to be something like a combination of Lebron and Obama, and I bet he looks at Brady's mediocre physicality and believes he's much better than Brady. If Newton fails I bet he blames everyone but himself for it.

I believe Cam thanked God for his talents...he doesn't come off as a blame everyone else type of person...but hey, WTF do I know ;)

From my understanding, brady and rodgers are REALLY good friends

Why are you guys talking about cam newton?

:confused::confused:

I think his biggest problem is going to be health. Rodgers actively looks to run and puts himself in harms way almost every play. Couple that with sporadic RB play and he's in real danger of being clobbered causing more concussion issues.

He certainly doesn't have Favre's durability.

Re-itterating what others have said. If he can keep his head on his shoulders he'll be good. He'll be very very good.

He seems to be at the right team aswell.

I am a big big fan.

I don't get it..what is a cam newton??..some kind of new fig based cookie or something??

G comp% Yards TD INT rating
2010 15 65.7% 3,922 28 11 101.2
2009 16 64.7% 4,434 30 7 103.2
2008 16 63.6% 4,038 28 13 93.8

No matter how you slice it, this kid is a baller. He makes great decisions with a TD/INT ratio (the most important QB stat) of 2.77 over the last 3 years. If he can stay healthy, he may be in the GOAT conversation one day.

One thing about Rodgers is that he is in a perfect situation in terms of being a productive quarterback.

He's got alot of talent around him with very good veterans on both sides of the ball.

I'd like to see how he plays when he doesn't have a receiving core that is stacked and probably one of the best in the NFL.

Among the top QB's in the league right now i think only Brady,Rivers and perhaps Brees have proven themselves in the sense that for them it doesn't really matter who lines up at WR.

Manning gets alot of credit for last year but it's not like he was playing spectacular...in fact i think it was one of his worst seasons in quite some time.

Completely agree. The kids a stud. I actually hope he wins more superbowls and keeps on racking those stats (obviously if the patriots dont win that is). i just have a lot of respect for this guy. Hes a class act

that's funny

i like rodgers alot, but he's taken about as much crap as rivers has when it comes to being called classless (before the sb win) lol

Rodgers ceiling, IMO, is somewhere in the neighborhood of "significantly better than Steve Young". That's a hell of a ceiling, although I hope their careers don't mirror each other too closely, with the concussions and all.

I've heard the same, but I take it with a grain of salt in both of their cases. Figures that this all probably comes from the same types of fans who think that Brady is a pretty-boy *******. AKA idiots.

His ceiling/potential is Steve Young with multiple titles. That would put him in the conversation for best QB of all time. Rodgers' skill set is absolutely insane, if he holds up physically I'll be glad to witness him abusing the NFC for the next 10-12 years.

I'm still hoping brady gets 2-3 more titles, but this guy is MUCH better than brady. Compare his quick release rifle shots to brady's choke fest. It was embarassing. Horrific.

Hmm, Aaron Rodgers himself says that Brady is "hands down the best QB in the NFL", and I think Rodgers might know more about assessing a QB than you do.
