History repeats itself. Isn't that just how Anakin Skywalker began his long slide with his initial embrace of the Dark Side?

You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! Take her away!

you do remember he played for the Jets at the end so he has long been a traitor.

All kidding aside it is hard to hold grudges on STs players or any player for that long unless they did something on the field to make us not like him IE something to beat us not just dressing in the wrong uni.

I have forgiven Adam and Larry is alright in my book too.

Good for Izzo. Maybe someday he'll tackle a Giants kick returner like he was a Jet.

Wonder why Pats didn't think of Izzo for a ST coaching position? He was a beast on ST's.....

What are they going to do? Fire Scottie OB just because a previous player, who has zero credentials at coaching, wants to coach now?

I think it's great for Izzo, class guy and I wish him all the best - Unless whatever team he's affiliated is playing the Patirots and then I hope we beat them and the group he coaching into submission.

Two things I think of right away when I see Izzo's name (besides his general excellence here):
- The INT that sealed the shutout in the 2003 season finale/31-0 revenge game against Buffalo; and
- Posing with fellow ex-Dolphins Damon Huard and Grey Ruegamer (yeah, I had to look him up) with their SB36 rings on their extended middle fingers, sent to their old friends in Miami.

Ummm.......

Izzo is going to be an ASSISTANT Coach......How would that affect Scottie O'Brien negatively if he were to be hired by Pats? :bricks:

Regardless on whether or not the Pats coulda' shoulda' hired him ... good for Izzo. I think a guy like that, with his experience on special teams and what it takes to succeed could do well as a coach. He certainly has played alongside enough other players to know what it takes to do well on ST, what it takes to motivate various type of players, etc. Best of luck to him (though not necessarily to his team).

With the kickoff rules ST's becomes a lesser art and someone like Izzo can be replaced. Special Teams has become an almost "not a big deal". Thnx NFL for making Football soft. Maybe we can have a World Cup American Football Team in soccer and they could represent the U.S:p We can teach them how to dive and act. it would be really cool:eek: SOFT THNX NFL SOFT A-Holes SOFT

it is of no consequence to us that Izzo went to Giants

My friend, who has no interest at all in football, met LI a few times when he was in New England. Tells me that he was the exact opposite of the over-entitled football player: modest, polite and appreciative. Good luck to him (everywhere except against the Patriots).

Word up is that Izzo is exectly as your friend described. He's been very active in community affairs, including overseas supporting troops in the field. Best of luck to him!
