Please let this be true!!!

There is a difference between the lockout being over and a new CBA in place

If that is true, maybe its just letting the players back in as they did in April but no CBA yet??

From the same guy who wrote an article about a David Letterman repeat with Jerome Bettis on it thinking it was a new episode.

NFLlockout.com does not report anything yet

This story may be as reliable as Tomase's story before the SB

Kraft said there is a ways to go before there is an agreement.

Kraft: Progress is made, but much work remains

There will be a new CBA by July 14th (the drop dead date set forth by the owners for a complete season and preseason), but I doubt it will be in the next two or three days.

I hope this isn't a cruel joke.

Assuming it is over, I suspect that their will be very little backlash from NFL fans across this country. As fans, we haven't lost anything in this whole lockout hoopla... unlike the MLB labor stoppage in the early 90s, when half a season was lost.

Frankly, I was looking forward to a year without the NFL. Serves both sides right and we the fans can wane ourselves off our dependency on the Pro Football.

They've changed the title, although the article remains the same. Must be a false alarm. They'll probably do a rewrite of the story.

SOURCE: NFL lockout almost over

The Eagle Tribune, my local paper, is right about as often as Brady throws an interception.

Aren't they the geniuses that waste ink on the leavings of Longo?

What's better is Longo has a great blog on high school sports. It is quite informative and a lot of avid Merrimack Valley hoop and football fans participate in the discussions. Longo is pretty well connected and rather opinionated. He doesn't hold back on coaches, officials, or parents and is pretty good to the kids. However, the tribune will take his blog posts and publish them word for word in the paper, his opinion and all, and pass it off as "news".

They story has been updated again, about 5 minutes ago, and they took even more out of it. The story will be nothing but a comma and a period by 7:30.
