Further proof of how much of a joke Profootball Focus truly is. Their bias against Brady because they feel he is just a system QB is laughable.

I still do not get the cult like following of this site. Personally, I feel this is satire site that mocks legitimate sites that try to analyze the NFL like footballoutsider.com.

This site is well-documented as garbage. Feel free to look up the site's founder and a main contributor. He has worked and still works in the IT field in the UK. Obviously, therefore, he's qualified to dismiss the first unanimous MVP in league history aside.

If you subscribe to PFF, you just paid $99 a year for this clown to make money on the side. Congrats.

Also, Justin Smith ranked second overall in the NFL is almost as much of a joke as Brady at 33.

I think that Khaled Elsayed, the author of that piece of brilliance, should probably stick to analyzing a sport about which he is more familiar.

If you take offense to my comment based on ethnic or regional stereotyping, well, I apologize for offending your sensibilities; in daily life, I'm as politically correct as anyone, but there are limits.

Edited to appease those who are "politically correcter" than I am.

I'm all for discrediting these guys, but let's do it with the obvious facts that show they are hacks - not tired ethnic stereotypes, please. It's not necessary.

Yada yada yada...i acknowledged it and apologized, so thanks for the rub in.

That's fine, I saw that you did that, but again, it's just not necessary - there's plenty of ways to take shots at these guys, I don't see why his name is one of them. It just discredits our argument against them.

I'd rather focus on the fact that these are just a collection of guys with no experience in the game of football attempting to take on the finer points of the game without the proper tools (coaches tape). At one point they even traded subscriptions for user-graded analysis. I think, at least, they've moved past that point, but it just goes to show you what you're paying for.

My first question is why a site like this isn't even based in the US...

ah, a double rub in for an already apologized for and edited comment...must be a slow day...

Hey, honestly, neither of my posts were intended to be a "rub in" at all, merely constructive criticism - and frankly I thought I was plenty civil in both my responses, yet you seem to want to deride me and my take on your post. I'm sorry if you took offense to me taking offense - it's time to move on, we agree on PFF, end of story.

Let's not turn this into the Intolerance of Tolerance.

Having a web site and posting some information doesn't make people right...lord knows there's little of that anyway and many things are opinion pieces.

I just find that site laughable...the system how they measure QB's is ******* idiotic. Brady operates a flawless short-passing attack and get's a 0 rating for slicing up defenses methodically without mistakes. Manning throws into triple coverage, happens to get a completion for it and he gets bonus points.

Those same idiotic bonus points throws are why Manning had as many interceptions in 1 game as Brady had the whole year.

That site is ******* horrible. Good decision making and playing a flawless game is far more important to winning than making stupid highlight throws.

1.) PFF sucks

2.) Political correctness sucks more than PFF

That about covers this thread.

See the issue isn't Brady's stats. It is PFF's inability to understand just because a QB eats apart defenses with a short passing game, it doesn't make him a system QB or not as a good as a guy who is less effective but hucks the ball down the field a lot.

We need to bring Randy Moss back and start airing it out to win the hearts of those guys at PFF. Obviously what we did last year wasn't working.

Randy is going to the Jets.

we need to trade our 2 first rounders next year for Larry Fitzgerald,Roddy White or Calvin Johnson. That's the only way the Patriots can hope to score points and garner the respect of user sites.

It wouldn't matter, they'd give their "points" to Moss for getting open.

Keep in mind they are trying to make individual grades on players in a team game without having ANY idea what the individual assignments were for a given player.

You could have a chimp throw darts at a board scored from -2 to 2 and the end result would be no more or less accurate than PFF's grading.

Where is it based?

It was started by the guy I linked above, Neil Hornsby, who works for some IT company TCQR in the UK.

For those that doubt that that is in fact the Neil Hornsby who now grades NFL games for money - thinking, logically - that someone whose past experience includes IT & the restaurant world ought not be forcing poor shmucks to pay to have him watch NFL football - note that his company owns the domain for profootballfocus. So, that's definitely him. Believe it or not. I didn't believe it myself till I googled.
