You are aware Damon (and most of baseball) sits out minor injuries too, right? Damon only played 3 more games than Drew last season.

He has a bad reputation for not being durable. Again, show me something... even unsubstantiated media speculation that calls Drew a quitter. I'm not trying to play a "sick twisted little message board game", I'm trying to get some evidence he is a quitter. If you can show me that I'll leave the thread.

He didn't play in Philly because they didn't give him the money he wanted. And Atlanta never traded him. At least look stuff up before you make completely incorrect claims.

And LaRussa has since clarified what he said in his book:
Asked about his past comments, particularly the questions he raised in Buzz Bissinger's book, "Three Nights in August," La Russa said: "My feeling at the time was that J.D. needed to push himself to be as great as he can be, because he's so talented he could play at a high level and still be better. That's your obligation as a coach, to get him to the max. But he's been gone since then, and he did well for Atlanta and he did well for L.A. To me, that's a matter of maturity, and I'm sure he's understanding more and more what he's capable of doing.''
can you prove hes more mature .show me a link .needs to push himself because he hasnt been in the past .thank you for making my case for me.atlanta didnt give him the money because they didnt think he was worth it .

The link is right there that shows hes more mature. You were just clammoring that I needed to read LaRussas book, but now LaRussa's new quote that said he has improved means nothing? Atanta offered him a lot of money. LA just offered more.

And who says he has a reputation for being a quitter and a baby besides you? Show me an article, a quote from someone, anything that shows he has ever quit on his team.

And he didn't play in Philly because he didn't sign there. And he was on 4 teams in 5 years because Atlanta traded for him at the end of his contract with St Louis, and then he chose to sign with the Dodgers. Then he left the Dodgers because he wanted more money. Pretty simple.
your the one who said atlanta traded for him .st louis dumped the guy because he didnt push himself he quit

Yes. Atlanta Traded for him. They didn't trade him. Altanta wouldn't have traded for him if they thought "he was a mal content and was hurt all the time".

it means tony covering his ass now that drew is gone .the last thing a manager needs is a rep for bashing former players .tony first comments speak volums .sorry you still havent proved anything

then why doesnt damon have the bad rep that drew does?

The first comment just said that Drew was injured all the time and thus couldn't give 100% becasue he was in the lineup so infrequently. Doesn't say he is a quitter.

And it makes sense to bash a guy when he is on your team, but not once he leaves? Makes perfect sense.

Because Drew doesn't have a bad reputation for being a quitter. There is nothing that backs up the statement that Drew is a quitter. And if I'm wrong, show me it.

i already have you just refuse to see it .i told you where to go lol.
Yeah. The TV and other messageboards all have concerns about Drews durability and contract. None of them have any concerns about him quitting on the team.

And if I'm really just ignoring it, show me it. Why is it so difficult for you to back up your argument?

So what did you mean by "turn on the tv read a paper go on line "? Online newspaper reports? They don't say anything about him quitting either. No one has.
