For a guy that is losing his clutchness because of his family and poor work ethic he is still pretty good.

You gotta give old Big Ben credit.

That SOB can make some plays when the chips are down.

Only if he slips the chips some roofies in the men's room.

7 hours since the OP and no comments about his hair/wife/lack of passion.

Must be a slow time for the board.

Big Ben may or may not be much of a person, but he's a hell of a quarterback.

Vick can as well, he gets alot of hate here but he can take over a game.

Seems like a meaningless stat to me.

A great QB leads a great team, therefore has little to prove in the 4th quarter. Stats will be down.

Meanwhile, an average QB on a bad team will be chucking it up over and over. This style of play may produce big stats, despite not translating to wins.

I'd love to see a stat like this: 4th quarter QB rating while up by 7 or less or losing. That, to me, is a clearer sign of a great QB.

good to see PR leading a few of the big names!

4th quarter QBR, +/- 7 points, 2010 season

Tom Brady 97.6
Drew Brees 94.4
Peyton Manning 84.5
Philip Rivers 67.2
Aaron Rodgers 94.2
Ben Roethlisberger 82.8
Michael Vick 138.7

There's your clear sign.

I made it up like some of the local beat writers do... :p j/k

ESPN stats has a "splits" category with all sorts of breakdowns, by month, by surface, by weather, by quarter, by down, by down and length, and a ton of others.

Here's the link to Brady's:

Tom Brady Splits - New England Patriots - ESPN

If anyone cares, Brady's QBR the last 2 minutes of a half is 104.1, another sign of still being clutch.

oh thanks...i've been looking for advanced stats like those.

Rating mitigates the effect of leading or trailing. Accumulating 4th qtr stats would follow your example, but rating not so much.

Actually, I'd be happier to see TB sitting on the bench more in the 4th and have Hoyer /Mallett running the cleanup operations......:rocker:
