Fast and tough seem to be 2 words used to describe Price....

Can he read NFL defenses and adjust is the question....with TB tossing the rock, the bad throws his way should be minimized..

Question is: If Price gets a roster spot... Does BB go with only 8 OL .... 4 RB, 6 WR , 4 TE's (Can't see Smith getting cut and don't think he'd clear waivers to make it on to PS) and 3 QB's?

I can't see Price not getting a roster spot! When he did play against Lolphins, he looked very promising!

Unless they sign OchoStinko or Terrell Blowsens then Price is #3 or #4 on the depth chart

This guy is my binky. He was my rookie binky from last year, and still is a player I believe has enormous upside. He is just nails tough, not afraid to cross the middle, and not afraid to mix it up with DE's or LB's when it comes to blocking.

Can't wait to see him out on the field. Have only seen him for a handful of plays, but I like the type of player that he by all accounts is. Hopefully he can start making significant contributions in 2011, assuming there is a 2011 season.

We had our moments in the Tate thread, but I second this. Going solely by what I saw in the Miami game, Price looks like the one with more upside.

I keep hearing tough when people describe him. Along with his size you almost can see a David Givens-type player, but faster. I'm hopin' the kid pans out. It's amazing the amount of young talent Bill's been piling up and more to look forward to next year. Get on with the game of football players and owners!

Everyone disagrees sometimes, nothing personal about it. At the end of the day we're all fans that would like nothing more than for all of these guys to turn into all-pros.

no...I don't want ANY all pros...I want our players to smash all those big mouthed, criminally infected, brain cell defective, all pro-in-their-minds green deviants and toe $uckers...:scream:

Tell us how you REALLY feel about those YETS JO :D

I really have high hopes for Price and think he's going to turn into a heck of a player.

But I want to complain about the stupid rule that says a draft pick can't practice with the team until he graduates. I mean he's already been drafted, his college season is over, he's done all his academic work, what is the impact of getting a head start on his job? Would a law firm be prohibited from hiring a future graduate a month or two early part-time? I don't get this rule at all.

It must destroy players from Ohio State. My nephew goes there and they have a four quarter, rather than two semester and summer (or some such) so their semesters end at all sorts of strange times/months.

No reason mature players shouldn't be allowed to start their career and handle their school as they would like.

Should be interesting competition with Tate, Edelman and Price. Versatilitiy's great, but ultimately, someone need to nail down #1 skill, getting solid into the receiver rotation.

There's no rule that says BB isn't allowed to carry 4 tight ends considering Hernandez plays like a Dallas Clark hybrid TE/WR anyway. I'm sure Smith will make the roster.

Yes, you are very right about the OSU schedule etc.

I am not sure that I am fully understanding this rule though, maybe you could offer some clarification. So what they're saying is that you MUST finish school and earn a degree? What about the guys that come out of the NCAA's early? I would assume that many of them don't finish their degree, as we've heard the old 'I can always go back and do it later' excuse/example. They obviously feel as though the millions to be made now supersedes the need for a college degree--which is a very fair thought.

Did Ty Warren go back recently and earn a SECOND degree then?

Welker
Branch
Edelman
Tate
Price
Slater

Before anyone gets pissy, Slater is in there simply for the sake of argument.

So, there's some good competition for the 3rd and 4th WR spots....are you 100% sure that Price will get the 4th, let alone the 3rd spot? I think it will be tough for him.

I'm rooting for the guy, he has a lot of potential but he has to surpass two players who have been in the system for multiple years and Price also missed rookie (although I doubt that means much now). I think he'll have to put a hell of a training camp (god willing) to earn himself the 4th WR spot.

I'm sure he'll be active week 1 and will see the field, I'm just not so sure it will be as a 3rd or 4th WR.
