Brady leads list of QB's....

Sanchez is going to be a good QB. Take the blinders off.

Why is he going to be a good QB ?

Bradford looks like he is going to be a good QB, Freeman looks like he is going to be a good QB. Why is Sanchez going to be one? He hasn't showed much imo.

For any QB thrown into the fire so immediately, he's done quite an impressive job. There aren't many guys that start from day one and take their team to the AFC Championship game back to back years. His numbers aren't phenomenal yet, and I don't see him as a legendary, prolific passer, but the guy is going to be a good player. His competitive drive is clearly evident.

And to the poster saying Holmes bailed him out time and time again, you must have not watched many Jets games. Holmes and Edwards dropped an egregious number of passes throughout the year. Also, every QB has potential INTs that are dropped. It's part of the game. You don't think Brady could have just as easily had 10+ INTs this past year if defenders reeled in every one of his passes they got their hands on?

Eli Manning is not a top 10 QB
That is what really stuck out like a sore thumb to me too.

In addition, Stafford should be somewhere in the middle of group D. And if you're putting Dalton in there, where are Gabbert and Ponder?

he actually has, at times, just like bradford and freeman

moreso because some of his very good moments were in some clutch playoff wins

Looks like you missed the thread from a few months ago sanchez-led-league-dropped-ints-his-passes where likely interceptions were discussed. I believe that it's Football Outsiders that tracks these statistics.

At any rate, Brady had 4 likely interceptions dropped in 2010. Sanchez had the highest number by far of any QB.

Right now, he's a bottom tier QB, and he might have been the worst in the NFL if teams had held on to even half of his dropped INTs. Take the blinders off.

Yeah, these homeristic Jets blinders are killing me, man.

Please, let me know all the other QBs that have started 30+ games their first 2 seasons (with 20 wins), 6 playoff starts (4 wins), and appeared in two conference championship games (he also has a passer rating <90 in the playoffs).

Say whatever you want about all these interceptions that didn't happen. If Reche Caldwell doesn't choke in 06 we probably have another SB, if Ellis Hobbs doesn't trip in the end zone we might have a fifth... No one cares, because that stuff DIDN'T happen.

If you don't see the progression in Sanchez from year one to year two, or recognize his talent/potential, you're missing the boat.

He went from the second worst QB in the league in 2009 to somewhere higher up in the bottom 10 in 2010. Congrats. He was still a bottom tier QB. As for the dropped INTs, it was a case of an extreme amount of fortune for him. It's not as if he had a scant handful of them. When something's an outlier, it's going to be noticed and pointed to.
