It's all about where you have been.

I would get on Prisco if it weren't for the fact that every single fan is doing the same thing. If you look at his latest Power Poll he has SD number 1 and the Pats number 4.

Now I have no problem in the world with those rankings. What I do have a problem with is the comments.

Remember, the Chargers have had less then stellar games the last few weeks against two of the worse teams in the league.

The Pats on the other hand, Beat the best team in the NFC, and played a close game with a real bad team in the Lions.

But check out the comments

It wasn't pretty on the road against the Bills, but they found a way. That's the sign of a good team.

4. New England Patriots
The Patriots didn't play well against the Lions, but managed to escape. That doesn't happen against a good team. They have to be careful.

So let me get this straight. When the Chargers do it, it's the mark of a good team. But when the Pats do it they have to be carefull???

the Chargers allowed more points in one game against the Bills then the Pats D did in 2 games combined (7 points from the Pats were on a fumble return).

And this was against a Buffalo team that lost to the team the Pats beat.

It seems it is all about where you have been.

When you have been Champs 3 times in the last 5 seasons, anything less then total domination is frowned upon.

And Prisco and the rest of us are all guilty of it!

That is pretty damn funny. Not to mention the Chargers' near misses against the Raiders and Bengals too.

Well, the one counter-argument I can see for Prisco - Good teams win ugly on the road. Do good teams win ugly at home?

The win is all that matters, but maybe that's the difference Prisco had in mind. SD was across the country at Buffalo, we were right at home for the second straight week and up against a bad team.

That's part of it. I think also that nationally, the Bills are seen as a mediocre team. The Lions are seen as the worst or second-worst team in the league.

The problem with that argument is that one of the Lions only two wins is against the Bills

Didn't SD just scrape by and win ugly at home against the mighty Raiders(who are probably worse then Detriot) with the help of an extremely controversial call?

Not to mention the ESPN Power Rankings have us at #5 BEHIND the Bears. Whatever. It's all meaningless conjecture...

We're talking about Prisco here, I don't think his thoughts carry over from week to week.

I think SD is the team to beat in the AFC. I also think the Pats are the second best team. Having said that I think the Pats will be the AFC champions (again).
