I went with 14-2 partly because team success means more to me than anything else and partly because it is the one that I think is most likely to happen.

Davis drafts Offensive speed, not Defensive speed, where the turnovers come from... ;)

Davis drafts defensive speed as well. Just ask DeMarcus Van Dyke.

14-2 record?

I'm concerned there won't be 16 games this season, let alone winning 14 of them.

History tells us that the answer is "none of the above".

prediction as of today....

12-4 record

BJBE - 700 rushing yards

Tom Brady - 8 INTs

Setting the kool aid down for a moment and taking the homer glasses off, I'd have to go with "none of the above". Although those stats we'll all be cheering for and hoping to see, realistically they all have a less than 50% chance of happening.

If you remove none of the above as a response, then the question is a difficult one to answer. 325 straight passes without an incompletion is the easiest choice to eliminate, but it's tough to say which of the other three is most likely or least likely to happen.

Not unless Brady's first pass in 2011 is picked off

None of those will repeat.

Our season will go something like this:

13-3 #1 seed.

Brady MVP,offensive player of the year
BB Coach of the year
Vereen offensive rookie of the year
Dowling defensive rookie of the year
Mayo defensive player of the year
Warren Comeback player of the year

Pro Bowl/All-Pro's Cunningham,McCourty,Wilfork,Meriweather,Brady,Welker,Mankins,Solder,Cannon,Vollmer,Warren,Spikes,Chung,Dowling,Gronkowski,Vereen.

Season culminates with an all time great performance from Brady in the SB vs the Packers. 300+ yards 4 TD's. SB MVP.

The 2011 New England Patriots - World Champions.
I'd love to see a Pats-Packers Superbowl. I don't subscribe to the I want the easiest game possible for the win. I enjoy the challenge of watching the best go against the best.

Let's hope so. I don't think I've ever seen a post begin so pessimistically and end so optimistically.

I think the most likely to repeat is the 14-2 record, or win percentage if the lockout lingers. Even that's difficult to imagine, but it seems nearly indisputable that this team should be better position for position than last year's, and the schedule seems easier, so who knows?

Other smaller feats that I think have a strong chance at repeating are those related to the offense: Brady being the MVP, leading the league in TDs and Passer Rating while the offense scores 500+ points and has the fewest turnovers. It's always difficult to maintain such high quality as the team managed last year, but it's a hard to come up with any reason for regression. Oline, RBs, TEs, and receiving core should all be stronger, healthier, and more experienced. I'll stop short of saying we'll be better, but I'll hope.

Does anybody else doubt the Packers' ability to come back strong? No team underperformed in the regular season relative to their talent as much as Green Bay did. Remember, they didn't win their division and sneaked into the playoffs as a 6 seed. They lost or played poorly against a bunch of vastly inferior teams last year, and I don't think that speaks highly of their character. I think they'll have a hangover, like Pittsburgh did after both their most recent championships.

Totally agree. I don't consider McCarthy a great coach at all. He seems like a brilliant offensive mind and a strong strategist, but his team is rarely focused and loses a ton of close games due to questionable late decision making.

I was actually surprised to see them get past Philly last year. I certainly don't see them going back to the bowl.

Maybe, although remember they were really plagued with injury. I know every team has its share but it got pretty bad for them especially losing Rogers as much as they did.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them hangover. Sustained success is the hardest thing a team/a champion can do. Equally so I won't be surprised to see them go on a tear given the amount of starters they had out last season.

I voted for None of the Above.

And based on their recent draft "effort",
if there were a choice called Losing Another Home PO Game,
I would've voted for that one.

I wouldn't question the Packers and their talent. They had a ton of injuries and even Rodgers was hurt.

Like somebody said McCarthy is probably the weakness on that team. During mid-season i read some Packers forum and most people were pretty much unhappy with the guy.

Man, I would never question their talent. When they bring it all together, they're clearly a machine. They've been one of the most talented teams in the league over the past few years, maybe THE most talented. I just think they habitually play beneath their talent. Could be coaching, could be character. Either way, for a SB champion with a pretty significant target on their back, I think that may spell trouble.

you can leave any time... they have rookie defensive linemen
