he is really getting it going now...look out from this point on.

Too bad he can't play catcher.

Hadn't seen him play before this year, had only heard of him. The man is a hitter (and fielder).

I always knew that HE RAKES and that he came from WORST hitters park in MLB

he has Fenway Swing goes othr way. pepper that monster.

I am new so u would have seen many <3 posts if I was on b4 we got him.

REAL DEAL:)

too bad we lost last night:(

I wanted him for years now I am :)

Between him and Papi, our offense is starting to get on point. Now if our pitching could only stay consistently good...

The only sawx player worth a d**m. The rest of this team needs to be blown up. Awful, awful team.

when we traded him to you i said you're welcome

IMO he's 2nd best only to pujols in this generation of first baseman

votto's up there, but adrian is the perfect match of hitter and fielder

votto may have better ability to get on base more, and pujols may be able to put a team on his back at times over a decade, but adrian is one of the best fielding and hitting first basemen i've ever seen

i was happy for him when we traded him, because petco is a crap park to have a power hitter, and despite it, adrian put up solid numbers there

he deserved to go to a team who was going to spend like a winner

I don't agree with your sentiment. We have some slumping batters who aren't coming through with runners in scoring positions and sporadic nay schizophrenic pitching coupled with erratic catching.

This team hasn't "gelled" with spotty performances here and there. Once they get on a role they'll be fine but it's annoying waiting for that to happen.

Tell me who is worth saving on this horrific overpaid roster? Pedey and Josh, maybe. That's it. The rest are either struggling, always injured, or just plain suck. I'm tired of cutting this team slack. They're straight up bad. No playoffs this year. I guarantee it.

I generally work from a rule of thumb. People who guarantee things are full of ****. Here's who I would definitely keep (of our active roster), those not listed are options or trade potential.

Pitchers
Josh Beckett, John Lester, Clay Bucholz, Daniel Bard.

Catchers
Nil

Infielders
Adrian Gonzalez, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, Jed Lowrie, Jose Iglesias.

Outfielders
Carl Crawford, Jacoby Ellsbury.

DH
David Ortiz.

Most of the team is already in play. Erratic pitching and poor catching is crippling the team right now. Saltalamacchia is offering the Red Sox very little behind the plate.

The pitching is what's really letting the team down. The loss of John Farrell might be bigger than you can imagine.

I don't know how folks make it through the length of a baseball season if they ride the rollercoaster.

run, anytnhing to back up your "guarantee"?

How can anyone with an IQ over houseplant level say this is a good team? They cannot get it over .500. In short, they suck this year. How do you argue this point?

Simple, there's 162 games in a season.

Wow, this is really getting embarrassing. This team is absolutely loaded, once they start clicking, pea brained chicken littles like you will hop back on the wagon.

They arent 15 games out right now either genius.

Home run number 1 at Yankee Stadium. :D Ahhhhhhh yeahhhhhhh.

"Once they start clicking"? And when is this going to magically commence, peabrain? There are 8 teams in the AL with better records than this team right now. When are Lackey and Dice-K going to magically transform to competitive pitchers? When is the trainwreck of our bullpen going to magically turn it around? I am the biggest Sox homer you will ever meet, but this team is broken. I don't know if it's Francoma, or what. No playoffs this year. We can revisit this thread at the all star break.
