Geno to I.R., Mickens signed

I remember Mickens with the Jets, I think he played under BB/Parcells. He's a really small nickel CB.

At this point we have more depth at Safety with Hawkins, Sanders and Scott hopefully Harrison is coming back soon. It was been 4 weeks since the injury and I heard 4-6 weeks as the ETA.

With 4 weeks left if everything goes well we should see #37 in week 15 or 16. This is a very tight time table, I would not be shocked if he can't quite make it back.

ST experience & position versatility sounds like a good player to have as your 53rd roster spot.

Too bad I was hoping to see Wilson get some reps at CB.

Has Andrews been playing much? I haven't heard his name a lot.

Wilson on IR

Ray Mickens signed.

Whoops - missed other thread. Already noted and posted.

Re: Wilson on IR

if some of you dislike this thread because it is a repeat of another thread, why do you refresh it and put it at the top of the page by posting links and dumb comments in it?

kind of ironic. This thread belongs nowhere according to some of you, yet you make sure it is seen with your comments in it.

and the never ending *********** continues.

We dont need "pesky"... Hobbs is "Pesky" but he sucks as a starting corner.

We need big , agressive, interceptors, not pesky guys that try hard but get beaten all the time.

Asante Samuel, for example, is pesky, but a ball hawk too.

Pesky is just fine for the role he'll play.

And if you don't like Hobbs as the starting CB, then tell the Pats FO what you want for Christmas. Maybe they'll package some picks for one of those early elite CBs. Or better yet, tell BB to leave the mousetraps at home so we can scratch the season, save our picks, and select early.

For it can be merged?

(Love the hypocrisy)

That happens sometimes.:D

Maybe the mod can merge this with the other two.

NEM or CSTJOHN17, that article you highlighted in red saying Rodney may go to IR was dated November the 8, shortly after his injury. I don't know, but the prevailing thought is that he is more likely to play than go on IR.

Thanks NEM for posting that month old info.

UPDATE: Rodney was interviewed this weekend and said that he will be back real soon.

Really?

Best news I've heard all day.

You don't happen to have a link, do you?

Re: Wilson on IR

The sad part is we won't miss him. He hasn't done anything since 04'.

It was on WBZ Channel 4 in Boston yesterday. It was on their 11:30 AM pre game show.

He didn't give a date but smiled and said that it would be soon. He said he ws not going to miss the playoffs. This injury was not as bad as the one that he had in SD, he said.

****. I am honestly pissed off by our secondary's last performance. Unfortunate to hear this. I bet Rodney is next...

I hope you are right, I said I would not be surprised if he gets placed on the IR but I hope he doesn't. PatsNUTs has the first good news I have heard in a while

I think Mickens was a good pick up I was hoping to have him much sooner and I will miss Geno but so far this season Rodney and Hawkins were the most consistent pair of safetys that we had. As I read in an earlier posting I will be glad to see Rodney come back for crunch time.

If you actually read the Tomase article, there is a 2-12 week range depending on the specifics of the injury.

His interviews with Dr. Morgan are very good given his tendency to sensationalize injuries, but you have to read the article.

Morgan has not examined him and doesn't have information so he gives a number of scenarios based on types of fractures he might have.

I like this move, Mickens is a good pickup.

Whatever happened to Warfield? I know he wasn't that great in the pre-season. I'm just surprised he wasn't re-signed after all of the injuries.
