Call for a NEW pre-game prayer starter...

No one likes to see ANY player injured, no matter what the team. However, as I have said, I would make an exception if some opposing player ACCIDENTLY rolled out of bounds and took Shanahan down, hard. Accidently, of course.

Please, let's allow cooler heads to prevail here. There is clearly some personal animosity here, perhaps merited, but such provocative actions can accomplish little good.

Start your own "prayer" if you like, while avoiding the other, if this poster burns you, would be my suggestion.

Despite the speculation, this isn't an 'agenda' based on personal animosity. I saw someone point out that our pre-game prayer guy was making comments about someone taking out Shanahan's legs and I don't feel it's appropriate.

If he continues to post pre-game prayers and people continue to reply it's all their choice and they're entitled to that. I just feel those who pray for the safety of others shouldn't sully those prayers by making comments like those.

On the subject of the pregame prayer thread, it's the only religious thread I could feel comfortable throwing an "amen" at that I have seen here. It's greatly appreciated that someone here has the plain old common sense to do the pregame prayer in a nondenominational way, and precedes it with a "participate if you want, don't if you don't" message.

Purely voluntary, Rich. And I'm not a "NEMite" or a "NEMesis," I'm just a guy that thinks God is bigger than our fights about God, using God to prop us up as more righteous than the next guy.

About the particular post you point out? Get a friggin sense of humor, for God's sake.
