I think we need official threads with any analysis and news on the player. I hate running through multiple threads.

He's in a state of flux.

Official 6th and 7th rounds, and FA prospect Thread

Please post any analysis and comments on the 6th and 7th rounders, as well as FA prospects in this thread

I don't think that is much more to say. Solder was the #2 OT on most boards, although some had him behind Castonzo. For example, Gosselin had Solder as the #13 best player and Castonzo as #16.

Solder will likely be our LT for the next 5-6 years, will probably ready to start by midseason like Vollmer, although camp delays could slow down his progress.

The pick of Solder seems to mean that Light will not be back. There is disagreement with regard to Kaczur coming back, and to who will be the Day 1 starter at LT. My preference is Kaczur at LT until Solder is ready.

You know what the best thing is? You know the colts wanted Solder BAD... I think BB not only picked him for OL help but to spite Manning... LOL.. Colts were easily drafting solder if not for the pats

I would be willing to bet my life savings that spiting the colts had no part in the decision making process of the franchise.

Re: Official Shane Vareen Thread

Intersting Tidbit here... Shane Vareen put up the second most reps in the bench at 31 reps! Thats a ton for a half back. The most put up 32 reps and he looks like a fullback.

Def and strong kid

then I think you should start 10 new threads.

Re: Official Shane Vareen Thread

Vereen is the son of the cousin of Dancer/Actor Ben Vereen. Let's hope he doesn't dance behind the line like Maroney, sorry, bad joke. That being said, watching the YouTube highlights of Vereen, he might be the Pats shiftiest back since Curtis Martin. He's got some great moves in the open field, cuts really well, and though short, has obvious strength. He's gonna bring some excitement to the Pat's backfield, great receiver too ! Let's post some videos in here too.

Just like the Colts were dying to get Maroney :(

We showed em up then too.

Re: Official Ryan Mallet Thread

Man, Mallett has a sick arm, what a cannon. Can't wait to see him play in a Pat's uni.
