I love new football fans who are learning the game. Welcome aboard.

Today was Patrick Pass' 2nd lost fumble in a 6+ year pro career.

Next week, maybe we'll explain to you what a left tackle is!

Dear Moderator.

Thank you for such a witty reply. Why, should you not be at the game with such wonderful insight?

I've been there, seen it and done it... all the way from **** McPherson's heart attack... and more... at great expense, may I add.

To get back to my previous post, Pass is indeed a poor mans Kevin Faulk.

To say that he's turned over the ball twice in six years is like saying Mike Vrabel has turned the ball over twice... His hamstring fumble made my blood boil and this turnover was just pathetic.

He is to Wide Recieving as Edward Scissorhands is to giving a girl foreplay. May I hasten to add that he runs with as much aggression as Stephen Hawking at times?

Pass is a jack of all trades and master of none. He's been a 4th choice back since I can remember and never comes close to even threatening anyone's place on the roster. Face it... he's another Bethel...

his hamstring problem was pretty painful..youd probably still be in hospital because of it. how about his 16 yard catch and that 2 yard run for first down today? helped us a lot

Had 2nd choice Bethel been as accomplished and versatile at his position as 7th pick Pass has, he'd be starting receiver on this team.

Quite a lot of fumble problems these days if you ask me.

A Jack of all trades is what you want as a backup. It's not an insult, it means he is a passable substitute for many roles.

Don't worry about it. He's an embarrassment as a moderator.

There are a couple people here who go bananas when you point out that Pass is a liability. Moderator or not, expect him to personally insult you if you suggest the Pats are better off without Pass.

Suggest that Pass is a liability and they start comparing Pass to Brady and Dillon. Pats1's favorite answer to any Pass analysis is , "Well, why not just cut Brady then?" They have no grip on reality, and get downright ugly if you don't see Pass the way they want people to see him.

Just do what I do. Hold you breath whenever Pass gets the ball. Exhale if he doesn't drop it. Luckily he almost never gets the ball, even when Dillon and Maroney aren't available. Why he gets the ball at all when they have Faulk and Evans available is beyond me. Same reason they forget to use the play-action pass, I suppose.

Oh, and don't come back to this thread because the Pass Apologists will be swarming around Pass like files on poop with all kinds of twisted stats like how few fumbles Pass has had. Oops. Smessy already did. He likes to talk in years rather than in carries becuase it sounds better.

I don't blame him for that. If I were so stupid to think Pass was an effective runner, and I knew he fumbled twice in his last five carries, I'd try to find misleading stats, too, or attack you personally.

Stand by for the poop flies.

Shmesssy is a joke. He thinks becuase he has more posts on here and is a moderator that his opinion is always right.

This is a Patriots message board. Having a lot of posts doens't make you a toughguy Shmessy and gives you no right to personally insult anyone.

If you have that little going for yourself that you act like that about a messageboard than you are pathetic. You smart off to people over the internet and think that you are a

He insulted my family on here before when we were having a discussion about football..

A reall class act that Shmessy is.

More like a scumbag. I don't know why he acts like he's joe harda$$ becuase he's a "moderator" and what's even more puzzling is who gave him that role.

Whoever did should take it away so we can watch him cry. I would find it very amusing.

I'm not a big Pass fanatic, but I don't remember him being a fumbler at all.

He had that hamstring incident, but does somebody have statistics about him fumbling?

Faulk has always struggled with it and probably always will, but Pass is a pretty strong guy.

the guy is a joke and a scumbag.
and that's how it is.
I'm not the only one who feels this way.

It is amusing though. I don't know if i'd rank him up there with all the "internet toughguy's" i've come across but he definitely attempts to be the most intelligent.

For everyone's information, here is the thread Keegs is referencing. The one where he states he wants to see Adam Vinatieri gets injured. See for yourselves and make your own conclusions:

wouldn't we all love it if the Pats actually had a real blocking fullback like a Lorenzo Neal? Unfortunately to get a true fullback they'd have to get rid of Evans, Pass, or Mills.

who stays next year?

Pass, Evans, or Mills?

i figure they'll keep two.

There is no excuse for allowing these personal attacks and this thread to get out of control, like so many others.

There is a small group of posters here who, when they disagree with someone's comments on football, they immediately begin with personal attacks against that poster.

There is no excuse, and no reason that this is allowed to happen.

If these posters want to continue with personal attacks, I suggest they try another Pats fan forum, one in which allows those things to go on...many times by the moderators themselves.

There is no excuse, and no justifiable reason to hijack threads, no matter who the thread starter may be, and interject personal attacks.

This web site is far too important, and has too much class to allow those things happen.

I suggest that cooler heads prevail and we discuss the topic of the thread, or move on to other topics.

fair enough.

I don't think Pass is so bad.

the hamstring fumble shouldnt be forgotton though.

I'm not going to sit here and brainlessly point out Mr. Shmessy's flaws -- we all know he has them -- but I am going to say a little about how people should soothe each other's pain, not exploit it. To start, if Shmessy is going to talk about higher standards, then he needs to live by those higher standards. To Shmessy's mind, his mistakes are always someone else's fault. So that means that the worst types of addlepated lackwits I've ever seen make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers, right? No, not right. The truth is that even if one isn't completely conversant with current events, the evidence overwhelmingly indicates that our national media is controlled by unreasonable, foul mattoids. That's why you probably haven't heard that if you think that bad things "just happen" (i.e., they're not caused by Shmessy himself), then you're suffering from very serious nearsightedness. You're focusing too much on what Shmessy wants you to see and failing to observe many other things of much greater importance, such as that he is trying to brainwash us. He wants us to believe that it's conniving to make the world safe for democracy and encourage others to do the same; that's boring; that's not cool. You know what I think of that, don't you? I think that Shmessy likes to cite poll results that "prove" that nugatory moochers are all inherently good, sensitive, creative, and inoffensive. Really? Have you ever been contacted by one of his pollsters? Chances are good that you never have been contacted and never will be. Otherwise, the polls would show that Shmessy's operatives are tools. Like a hammer or an axe, they are not inherently evil or destructive. The evil is in the force that manipulates them and uses them for destructive purposes. That evil is Shmessy, who wants nothing less than to condition the public to accept violence as normal and desirable. Nonetheless, if a modern Dante were to update the Divine Comedy, he would have to create a special circle in Hell for biased sots who undermine liberty in the name of liberty, so to speak.

Shmessy takes things out of context, twists them around, and then neglects to provide decent referencing so the reader can check up on him. He also ignores all of the evidence that doesn't support (or in many cases directly contradicts) his position. Think about it. Even with the increasing number of malign masters of deceit, the last time I told his forces that I want to deal stiffly with the worst classes of impertinent sad sacks I've ever seen who use paid informants and provocateurs to eviscerate freedom of speech and sexual privacy rights, they declared in response, "But no one is smart enough to see through Shmessy's transparent lies." Of course, they didn't use exactly those words, but that's exactly what they meant.

At the risk of belaboring the obvious, Shmessy claims that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time. That claim illustrates a serious reasoning fallacy, one that is pandemic in his dissertations. Then again, Shmessy just keeps on saying, "I don't give a [expletive deleted] about you. I just want to formulate social policies and action programs based on the most fork-tongued sorts of allotheism in existence." If I hear his stooges say, "Society is screaming for Shmessy's apologues" one more time, I'm going to throw up. I'm not an untrustworthy person. I'd like nothing more than to extend my hand in friendship to Shmessy's bootlickers and convey my hope that in the days to come we can work together to speak up and speak out against Shmessy. Unfortunately, knowing them, they'd rather destroy that which is the envy of -- and model for -- the entire civilized world because that's what Shmessy wants. That's the end of this letter. If I was unable to convince you that Mr. Shmessy's ideals are founded on lies, then you should definitely consider contacting me with your supporting or refuting evidence, opinions, personal stories, etc., so that I can make a better argument in my next letter.

LOL, great stuff! And thanks for spelling my name correctly!

And, btw, my poll results do INDEED prove that nugatory moochers are all inherently good, sensitive, creative, and inoffensive.

But back to the subject of the thread, I hope the Pats hold onto Pass and Mills (although, at this point Mills is pretty much an unknown quantity, I just can't see Evans as anything other than a JAG).

They use the tight end.
