Day One is over. We secured badly need OL help plus a late 2012 first and a 2011 second.
=====================================================
DAY TWO

Belichick is now picking in his comfort zone with 3 major needs and 5 picks.

We all expect a front seven addition.

We all expect a top interior OL.

We all expect a running back.
---------------
Most of us expect a safety.

Some of us expect a wide receiver or a 2nd running back.

Pick 33: trade (hopefully to a terrible team) for a 1st rounder next year.

Picks 56 & 60: pick best player available (there are 5 intriguing receivers left - Titus Young, Torrey Smith, Randall Cobb, Leonard Hankerson & Jerrel Jernigan).

3rd round picks: trade for 2nd rounders next year.

The results? This year: Solder + who we'd pick at 56 & 60.
Next year: three 1st rounders and three 2nd rounders!

bolded is the only thing I expect to come away with after tonight.

RBs & WRs can be had tomorrow.

We haven't had free-agency yet either. We seem to be better getting those positions filled by free-agents than draft picks. Pipe dream. But, I'd love D'Angelo Williams and Santonio Holmes. We should have the cap space. Especially, now that we prob won't sign Matt Light.

Well we got 2 RBs. I thought we'd only take one. And I suppose you can count Ras-I Dowling as a safety. He's tall enough to play the FS position. No extra OL/DL or OLB though.

Dowling is definitely a safety. Mayock thought that both he and Williams were as good as Moore.

We got our 2 running backs.

We traded a pick into 2012.

We ended up with a backup quarterback.

That's good use of five picks.

I wasn't surprised at the lack of an interior linemen. I was not shocked at the lack of a front secen addition, although we all wanted at least one.

Why not? I wanted two, a DE and an OLB. Why were you not surprised that BB would not want to upgrade the league's 25th ranked defense. A defense that made Sanchez look all world come the playoffs.

I am never shocked when we posters want DE's and OLB's and belichick disagrees. I stopped being shocked about this eyars ago, when we traded up for Graham in the first round instead of an OLB.

I give you the passing on OLB's year after year, even though this year was a great year for one, but why not DE's, BB has drafted a ton of them over the years,in fact, I thought they were a priority in his defense.

Although next year's draft has Crick and Bequette in it.
