I hope Denver wins. They won't beat out S.D. so we won't have to play them @ Denver in the playoffs.
The more the Seahawks lose the better their pick will be next year.

I should know this but if Seattle wins their division which is almost a certainty, how is their pick determined if they don't win the NFC Championship game? Order of regular season finish???

edit: The answer determines my rooting interest

I believe so but someone else on board should have that answer

Denver all the way! I want a good first round pick from Seattle.

If Seattle wins the division the earliest they will pick will be after all the non playoff teams, that's #21.

Assuming they don't go to the SB they are then slotted according to regular season record. So if they had the worst record of the playoff teams, and didn't go to the SB, we would pick #21. We can't pick higher assuming they win the division.

I don't hate Branch but wish we knew this Before the draft. We could have had this receiver situation handled better than it is now.
Can't blame him for going for the money but he won't a SB with Seattle

Before the draft, the twerp said that he would honor his contract so HE was the reason we didn't know.

IF you knew, then you wouldn't have taken Maroney???

That's what I said. We could have traded him before last years draft and grabbed another receiver or grabbed a FA one.

Come on guys, this is a no brainer. You have to root for any NFC team when they play a potential AFC playoff contender. This season is what counts, NOT next year's draft.
The same number of teams will make the playoffs - if not Denver, someone else will :)

Yep, we certainly did not know he would take it this far back then.

Pats and us fans should always be hoping to get in the best position for this current season so a Denver loss is clearly what benefits the Pats most.

Part of me says that a true champion defeats his nemises
We need to beat Denver in a playoff game
Revoke Shanahan's ownership of the Patriots, BB and Brady

root for Hawks. Denver wins they still can make playoffs as a WC. I do NOT
want to see Denver in the playoffs even if Hawks #1 pick drops.

With the problems PATs have had with Denver I can't see how anyone would
want them anywhere close to the playoffs:confused:

i'm the one that's always posting threads about Seattle and their games and how i want them to lose.

But not Tonight.

Denver is 7-4, a loss would be HUUUUUGE.

We don't want to see them in the playoffs, we don't want them in the playoffs at all.

Seattle losing would be ok but the possibility of one of our first round picks improving next year is not worth as much to me as the possiblity of no Denver in the playoffs

I'm rooting for a good close game. I like good close games. Where the DP ends up, to me, isn't that important. Sometimes the best player in a draft is taken until the 6th round. Whether it ends up the 16th pick or 24th or whatever, if they pick the right guy it won't matter. And the 24th guy is cheaper.

Actually I can blame him...he didn't negotiate and make any counter offer to the Patriots.. I would have little proble, if he actually had some guts and played his contract like Vinatiieri and Givens did..but the lazy whiner wanted to go into temper tantrum mode wanting his oney...sorry. Branch is a phony little money grubber..I wish him nothing but the worst...

Denver for a number of reasons:

1) Improves our draft position.
2) I do not care for Deion Branch (putting it nicely).
3) Improves Denver's playoff position (see #4).
4) Finally, I want Denver to go on a run with their new QB leading into the playoffs (where we would possibly host them). If this guy gets Romo-esque hype, it could actually get everybody thinking Denver is going to beat us. Why is this immportant? Lately when we play those guys we are the favorites - for what reason, who knows. They always have the no-respect card thanks to Plummer. Now with Plummer benched, that's gone.

By the way...in SPITE of that I want the Hawks to win...I do not like dirty Shanny..wish to see his team fall downward...

Isnt our playoff position THIS SEASON more important than our draft position next season?

absolutely.

I'm shocked that this many people want Denver to win.

I CANT STAND Seattle but we should all want them to win

Relying on the Draft Pick next year kind of makes it seem like those people have no faith in this year.
