Since indy lost is it possible to get the #1 seed, if SD losses a few and we win the rest of ours?

Indy would have to lose twice, San Diego once (or possibly twice, I'm not sure on the tiebreakers), and the Pats would have to win out. #2 is a much more attainable goal.

I don't care what seed we are if we don't learn to play consistently.

While unlikely, it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that Indy could lose the next two. Jacksonville's been great at home, and always presents a tough match-up for Indy; and if anyone can win a domed shootout with the Colts, it's the Bengals.

Yep. The Pats are simply not a championship caliber team. Too many weeks of too many turnover, too many dumb mistakes, too much sloppy football. It is what it is.

Boy has this Pats team played like dog poop at home this year. That was a thoroughly unenjoyable game to watch today.

You guys are not giving this team enough credit for their perseverance, drive and ability to make the big play at the right time, be it on offense, defense or special teams. Bottom line is they win football games. Every team in the NFL is flawed and we have our share of troubles no doubt. But we also have a hell of lot of talent and the best QB in football.

I like our chances against any team any day at all.

Winning any game, any time against any team is very hard in the NFL.

Say whatever you want, pick them apart to your hearts content, but last time I checked we WON today and we are 9-3, right in the thick of the fight for top seeding with four games left to play.

i think it is way too early to talk about PO seeding. there are many more things we need to worry about before that - turnovers, inability to block and so on. On any given Sunday we can beat any team anywhere, but can we do it 2 or 3 times in a row to get to SB? i doubt it! to me there are too many fundamental issues with this team - blocking, tackling, holding on to the ball, calling plays and etc. I truly hope the next 4 weeks are spent working out these issues. Otherwise it is two and done, just like last year.

It's too early to talk about playoff seeding but it's plenty early to talk about if the Pats make the SB?!?

I'm just trying to keep it real. I know...a win is a win is a win. And, I'd rather beat the Lions than lose to them. But, the truth is, the Pats really haven't been playing good football all year. It's not the inconsistency that bothers me. It's making the kind of dumb mistakes that mid-pack NFL teams make. The turnovers have just gotten ridiculous....week after week after week.

If they go on a miracle run like iin 2001, I'll be the happiest guy around. I hope they make it into the tournament because anything can happen. But, honestly, I'm not seeing any reason to think this team is likely to make much of a run.

I'm with you on this one.A win is a win and in the end we won today and that's all that matters.Take the W and move on.

Miracle run? A 9-3 team has to go on a miracle run to win the Super Bowl?

Hell, if you look at it that way every Super Bowl winner went on a "miracle run."

Talk to me in the playoffs.
