I would hate to have forked over $65 for last night at Gillette! Was anyone on this board there; were there screams of anguish by the crowd?

Anyway tonight is where the Patriots make hay. They can basically have anyone they want tonight and this is where Emperor gets his Death Star. The Patriot should be able to fill all their holes starting with a pass rusher. Also look for a WR and a OG or two. Probably a safety / CB also.

Set course for Alderaan.

Ummmm i went i ate, and we all had fun.

Just because you wouldn't go doesnt mean no one else would.

I agree with the thread title.

Even if a guy doesn't go on to become a starter, if he's the 30th best player on the team, you have done well. You have done well because you have replaced the 53rd best player with a 30th best player, which raises the average talent level significantly.

Pick 33: trade (hopefully to a terrible team) for a 1st rounder next year.

Picks 56 & 60: pick best player available (there are 5 intriguing receivers left - Titus Young, Torrey Smith, Randall Cobb, Leonard Hankerson & Jerrel Jernigan).

3rd round picks: trade for 2nd rounders next year.

The results? This year: Solder + who we'd pick at 56 & 60.
Next year: three 1st rounders and three 2nd rounders!

I disagree.

our 1st 2nd is a LATE 1

we keep it get REED and the doubters can eat crow when thy see him perform this year

I love the trade game
why not trade a desperate team a 3 for a 2?

Carolina as that team last year and that 2 is a late 1.

This is random... since I cannot make posts I have to ask through a post.

Are NFL Nike Jerseys this year???

the Hats appear to be Reebok or is the Hat thing a l8r move?

if I am posting too much I apologize... the draft FIRES me up big time:cool:

I don't think so, tonight is where more depth is added and potentially 1-2 starters.

With the extra ammo they may have the ability to trade for some veterans (Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, Vincent Jackson, etc.) and if free agency ever starts they can add another starter or two.

The championship is still almost completely on the shoulders of #12, if he plays great they win. If he plays average they have a real hard time.

The title of the thread should be renamed Tonight is Where a Championship Was Lost.

Rasi Dowling at 33? WTF?

My only question now remains:
Is Bill either blindly arrogant,
Or just brain damaged?

Whatever the answer, the Emperor Who Wears No Clothes
has completely fokked-up this draft. What a disgrace.

Guarantee you said the same thing after the McCourty pick.

What should be clear to everyone is that Belichick has certain guys he likes - and that seldom meshes with what the talking heads - both media and fans - think it should be.

If Belichick sees a guy he absolutely wants to have, he has the ammunition to move up and grab him. If he doesn't do that or trades back, it means he's got several guys who he has pegged as "his" guys and doesn't mind upgrading picks for the following year.

Let me repeat - for all the belly aching we're hearing, these are the guys that Belichick wants. I see little point in second guessing Bill Belichick on the players he drafts, or his strategy.

I always thought superbowl night is where a championship was made

Pretty clear the Pats thought absolutely ZERO of the DL depth in this draft. They had the ammo to go get guys in the first two rounds and evaded it like the plague. Especially with guys like Quinn/Jordan dropping because of the QB flurry. Two rounds in, no defensive lineman, a point in the draft where any decent trench guy is gone.

What will be sad is that a couple of these guys are going to turn out and we'll probably be looking at them in Clay Matthews fashion while opposing QB's are taking naps in the pocket drilling it in on 3rd down.

What's it going to take, the next Lawrence Taylor? If he's the benchmark, might be waiting until Ben Brady is ready to lead this team.

So, this means that Love, Deaderick and Brace are really going to be part of the DL rotation next year? And one of them starts at DE? Really?

And we still have no pass-rushers. No pass-rushers at all.

P.S: Bill Polian Belichoke has now transformed this once-proud franchise
into the Indy Clots: 14-2 in the regular season, 0-1 in the playoffs at home.
Thanks for nothing, "Genius"(snicker).

A real genius would have drafted Cam Jordan at 17(or 18-21 with a poss. Trade-down),
then Solder - or pref. Derek Sherrod - at 28.
33 would have been open to the highest bidder at the start of business on Friday night.
And I would have insisted on a helluva lot more than 56 & a first-rounder
in a draft that may never happen.

That's what a "real genius" would have done, huh?.... Exactly what you wanted. May I remind you that there is a reason that you are posting this on an internet website and not busy huddled up in some "actual" NFL team war room picking a team yourself.

It probably has something to do with the fact that you are not nearly as smart or as much as a "draft genius" as you think. I'm not in love with all of the picks in this draft so far either, but I'm also not as arrogant to think that "I" know more about our current locker room, what are real needs are based on what's on the board either.

It's post's like this that prove just how delusional some of us fans can be. Hopefully, your just letting your emotions get the best of you.

why take a player when all the guys you want are already taken?

I am fine w/ him trading.

god some people on this board suck. Solder was #1 tackle on the colts board... sooooo you would't have got him later he'd be gone at 20. You would have asked for a 1 and 56+... apparently no one would have paid or the pats would have made the deal just like they did the day before... god some people on this board suck... i am going to take a break for a couple of days and wait for the crazy to calm down

You know who he couldn't "handle" Cam Jordan, IN A 52-7 loss to Cal, Jordan had 2 sacks of the six total that Cal had that day. Colorado had MINUS yards for the half, and only got some positive yards after Jordan and the rest of the first tema were on the bench. IF it makes you feel any better Vareen had a good game. WARNING: Watch the Video at your own risk, he gets beat early and often
