I know alot of people use these ranking when doing their mocks. Well they updated their rankings today, with some interesting changes. Here are a few notables.

DaQuan Bowers fell to 17. Concern over knee?

Phil Taylor jumped ahead of Wilkerson

At offensive guard, Clint Boling and John Moffitt had significant movement. Boling went for the #4 guard (78 overall) to the #6 guard (101 overall). Moffitt went from the 7th guard (137 overall) to the 5th guard (86 overall)

Greg Romeus moved up over 20 overall spots.

At WR Little and Hankerson took huge nosedives. Hankerson went from the #4 WR (44 overall) to the 9th WR (79 overall) and Little went from the 11th WR (99 overall) to the 15th WR (151 overall)

Allen Bailey at 68.

I wonder why Hankerson fell?

I was very interested in him as a possible Pats WR target.

Anybody have a link/copy of the last version? I'd love to check on the movement of some more players.

Oh I don't know. This is the same site that employs Rang, Judge, Freeman (good God!) and the mystifying P. Prisco.

Happily Judge, Freeman, and Prisco have no input, Rang I'm not so sure. CBS buys their rankings and player profiles from NFL Draft Scout of the Sports Exchange scouting tree. USA Today used them last year and in previous years NFL.com has used them. In general I find they are the best overall draftnik site for getting some unbiased "scouting" on the prospects.

If im not mistaken, they had Bailey at 66 last update

Interesting. I thought he was consensus late 1st-mid 2nd. He is such an intriguing player. An incredible physical specimen and great work ethic. But, something seems to be missing. Is he the next Gholston, or a player that will reach his full potential under BB?

Yup. Just like to take a shot at that set of clowns when I can.

Yeah, I've had Hankerson at or near the top of the "WRs not named AJ or JJ" for awhile now. OTOH, I've never quite been able to figure out whether CBS rankings are a reflection of their "brain trust's" (or NFLDraftScout.com) evaluation of a player's draftability or a reflection of what they're hearing about who's currently most popular among the teams, or what.

NFP still has Hankerson at #48. OTOH, they have Watkins ranked #16 and Dareus ranked #17, Henry Hynoski (FB) ranked #27 and JJ Watt ranked #28, so, y'know, consider the source.

Unless there's some brand-new revelation about drug use/criminal behavior, Hankerson dropping to #79 would seem like a gift.

Just another in an increasingly large pool of Hurricanes in recent years with all the talent in the world but who never reached their potential.

I think it has a lot to do with the coaching, or lack thereof. Coker and Shannon? No thanks.

Yeah, it's always a bummer when an Hurricane doesn't reach its potential.

But, then: If I lived in Florida or Louisiana, I might feel otherwise. ;)

Hankerson dropped way too many balls in his senior year and teams dropped his stock.

Thats all we need is another Ben Watson as a receiver

They noticed he dropped too many balls just days before the draft.....amazing scouts :D

You know what amazes me about all this movement is not one of these kids have played a single down of football. What have any of them done to deserve moving up or down

NFL Draft Scout has him at #79 on their own site, updated today. It's like I said, CBS just buys their material.

If a player is dropping now, wouldn't it be because the "publication" heard some info from a NFL team.

Or like on draft day when a player "slides", it's not becase Mel Kiper has it wrong, all 32 teams have it wrong.

You will never hear Kiper say he was wrong.

If there is a year for "surprises" I think that is this year.
