If this is true, BB will surely be trading back.
Hope I heard wrong.
I wish NFLN would say that just a little differently and stop freaking Pats fans out.
We don't have a 6th or 7th next year. Big whoop!
IIRC we went into the 2009 draft with zero 3rd round picks. We ended up with two 3rds that year and additional picks for 2010.
Plus, we commonly get awarded 6th or 7th round comp picks.
Yup: 7 rounds, five picks.
And Kraft has already indicated that we will be trading for more picks, although some posting here think that this is a huge mistake.

Not the nuclear option! :stars2:Hey now Box - them's fightin' words. I'll link to Bleacher Report next time.
FYI- They still curse us here in Charlotte as we have their 2nd round pick. lol
Round 2
33rd overall - from 2010 draft weekend trade with Carolina
New England traded a third-round pick (89th overall) to the Panthers in exchange for their 2011 second-round pick. The Panthers used the pick on Appalachian State receiver Armanti Edwards, who had one carry for 7 yards as a rookie.
60th - natural spot
Everyone knows the Panthers need a No. 2 receiver. Well, here’s a juicy bit of information courtesty of Bo Marchionte of NFLDraftBible.com. Marchionte reports that Panthers general manager Marty Hurney attended Ohio University’s Pro Day Friday and spent close to an hour watching game film with Ohio University Taylor Price.
(3-89) Armanti Edwards, QB/WR, Appalachian State: This move was a real head-scratcher when you consider that GM Marty Hurney gave up his 2011 second round pick to the Patriots in order to draft a player that many viewed as a late round project. To add insult to injury, what Carolina got in Edwards was a quarterback who struggled mightily in his transition to wide receiver. He appeared confused in his route-running and couldn’t handle punts. His conditioning was also lacking. Grade: F
The Draft is illegal according to the former NFLPA leadership.
It also should be noted, though painfully so, over the last 2 years the Pats have had 24 picks while the Jets have had just 7. In those same two years the Jets have been to the AFCCG twice, while the Pats......well....not so much. (I'm not saying that their way is better...far from it. But it should also be noted that the draft isn't the only way to build a team.
