Where we get players is always a matter of value. This year, I see a perfect storm of a DE need, the best DE crop in years, and plenty of early picks. So, I do think it reasonable to expect a DE is the first 33 picks.
Still, I have a shopping list for the first four rounds. Our history has been to keep ALL of the players drafted in these rounds. I suspect to pick up 2 picks by drafting down and to trade 2 picks into 2012.
MG SHOPPING LIST - SEVEN ADDITIONS IN FIRST 125
DE/DT/OLB - 2 additions (at least one in the first 33 picks)
OL - 2 additions (plus a late flyer on a center)
RB - 2 additions (there are 3 open roster spots)
DB - 1 addition (a safety or corner owho also plays safety)
WR - 0 additions (3 youngsters is enough; let's wait until free agency)
TE - 0 additions (we will ahve our usual late pick)
QB - 0 additions (we will ahve our usual late pick)
ILB - 0 additions (we have 2 vets and 2 developmental players; no need)
