I for one will be watching some of this game with interest. I must admit I'm hoping for complete failure from the kid. Not so much for Cutler himself but just because he plays for a rival.

Must admit he had a pretty darn good pre-season when I watched him, whether or not that equates to success in the NFL regular season we will just have to wait and see.

If preseason meant a lot, Cassel would be a hot property - but I agree with you that in that offense (good running game and WR), Cutler could be scary and quickly. With his arm I'm scared to death he'll give Shanahan his Elway part II.

I just don't think I can take another week of Brady comparison ballwashing, so I hope he falls flat on his face at NFL regular season game speed. Besides, I love to see Shanny squirm and Seattle is going to win the NFC west regardless just because that division is what it is.

Agreed there. Cassel had a very good preseason. Almost looked like an all-pro vs the 2nd and 3rd stingers.
He actually led the Patriots to a TD on the opening drive against the Giants' starters with Bam as his primary WR. Of course, that's the Giants' starters without a serious gameplan - but I think a few teams out there would take a serious look at Cassel.

I wonder what Romeo thought of him - although Savage is the GM there and he drafted Frye so Romeo is probably stuck with him.

I don't think Romeo is thinking much nowadays except how he is gonna save his job. Granted he's had horrific bad luck so far in Cleveland but it appears the team is moving backwards not forward.
