Im wondering if it was written ONLY because USC is playing a game in the Card's stadium and that him and Leinart have a connection? Or if It is something that Carroll would really do? He has a good thing going there at USC and I cant Imagine him wanting to give that up.He definately did a lackluster job with us before BB started here.Dennis Green has done some good things there in Arizona, despite what the record shows.Has anyone heard anything of this? Or is it just BCS Hype up?

Neither can I, he has it made at USC, prestige, cash and a great program loaded with talent, why give that up for the uncertainty of the NFL?? He has failed once, and has done nothing to convince me he will do better in the NFL even if he gets his team pumped and jacked up.

Turns out Pete's not playing a game in AZ but rather at the Rose Bowl. Thing is Green is on life support in the desert, where they do have a boatload of offensive talent and a QB Pete groomed. I think if the cheapskate Bidwells ponied up enough $$$ that is the one job Carroll would have a hard time saying no to for that reason. There could be a lot of HC openings in the NFL this season if Tuna and the Spitter also decide to take a hike. DelRio could be gone in JAX, Fisher in Tenn (which could free up Norm Chow as well). Not to mention Mr. Moneypants Snyder will be in the market for a new HC to unravel the mess he's created in DC. I think BB the tea leaf reader saw those things coming, which is why he was so disgusted with Eric's decision to bolt to the JETS just a year after he gave him the DC position.

I don't think Pete did a lackluster job here. Neither does Bob Kraft, who has said he would like to see what Pete could do with a team that wasn't such an entitled mess (read minus backstabbing Drew and his cronies).

BTW anybody see the story last week about Drew refusing mop up duty in the Cowboys Thanksgiving rout? What a guy....measurables of a franchise builder and ego of a franchise killer.

Sorry,After reading the article again. It states that IF USC were to win this next game then they would probably play at the Cardinals Stadium.

Cardinals are on the outside looking in imo. It is pretty evident their offensive line is broken and needs fixing. If they had the right coach and GM along with a great offensive line coach they would do well. I'm not saying Superbowl or anything. But they have talent at some key positions to work with.

Contrary to popular belief, there is storng speculation, here in Arizona, that Green will not be fired.

I am in agreement that Green deserves more time.I dont see him going anywhere. They have alot of talent on that team and the sky is the limit.I would like to see the cardinals in the playoffs next year.

Not to mention that, living like a king on a college campus brings all the young co-eds knocking at his door offering him their cookies. :D

And, just like Charley Weis, he is perfect for the college game but will never succeed as an NFL head coach. A good coordinator, but thats the maximum level he would have success at in the NFL.
How do you know that about Weis?

They say a guy's got two chances at most to succeed in the NFL as HC. Does Carroll's one year with the Jest count as a full and fair chance? He clearly blew it here.
